Be sure to check out all of the other designers starting on the Taylored Expressions blog because there is just too much for one designer to show off in just a few days.
All the products that I have used are linked at the bottom, but remember that new products aren't available until Thursday, June 9, 7 a.m. PST.
Always & Forever
It's the season of weddings so when I saw all the wonderful florals - the Garden Party Embossing Folder and the new Fresh Floral and Fresh Floral Dies - it seemed like a perfect fit for weddings. I pulled out the older set In & Out Wedding and then added a brand new scalloped frame called the Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate.
I think this is just perfect for the wedding I am attending for two new college grads. I used whites and grays to keep it elegant, but then I added the bright fun florals because they are young and happy.
The embossing folder is a must-have basic item. I'm sure on my card you saw the bright flowers first - but look how well the embossing folder goes with them. And the folder stands alone beautifully because the inner part is not embossed. The folder, a nice sentiment, maybe a few sequins, and you are good to go. (Of course, with my passion for framing things - I'd always add the scalloped frame as an accent.)
This is not the card that I had originally intended to make with this set. The stamp set is from an earlier release but the dies are new this time. I got the stamp set ages ago for the trees - they are so darn cute. But mojo took me in a different direction and I also listen to Mr. Mojo for fear of him abandoning me! Here's the owl, branch and sun!
I do love dies. I love that I could easily and cleanly cut out that little owl and place him on top of the sun and the branch stamps. It gives it wonderful dimension and it keeps the grouping of elements connected.
Come back tomorrow for a beach day!
The paper and the coordinating enamel dots are from the Carta Bella Beach Day collection which, as of this writing, was still available at Taylored Expressions.
