I have purchased all the scene builders from Stamp' Up - Snow Front, Water Front and My Meadow - but haven't used any of them. The current challenge at
Christmas Kickstart is Winter Wonderland and it seemed like the perfect time to challenge myself with Snow Front!
I've been loving all of the slimline cards that I've been seeing. I have a number of the dies on order to add stitching etc. but mail order is understandably slow right now. Even without them, I thought the Snow Front set would work well on a slimline card and would help with the perspective of the large trees vs. the far away mountains.
This took quite a few attempts. Fingerprints and smudges became a problem as my stamps and fingers got inkier and inkier. Then I had one looking good, but I dropped the house! I love all of the cards I have seen from other crafters for these sets, but I can't say they are my favorite sets. I don't like the "stress" when I get down to the last few images and have to hope and pray nothing will go wrong! But I do thank Christmas Kickstart for letting Snow Front get inky!

ReplyDeleteYour finished project is delightful, but I am like you...trying to create a "scene" with all the elements sets me over the edge! I just enjoy them vicariously through everyone else!! But it is very pretty, especially the slim shape!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely wintry scene!
ReplyDeleteOh how very beautiful! Love all those sweet images and the DL size of your card works so well with your placement. Thanks for playing at Christmas Kickstart, hope to see you join in with future challenges too. Keep safe, stay home and craft instead!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful scene, Kim. Using these sets doesn't come easily to me and it's comforting to know others have the same problems. Enjoy your day!

ReplyDeleteI'd love to case this as well; it is so beautiful. You have used a couple of my favorite sets and made a similar card earlier this year but making it a slim card adds additional challenges. Thanks for giving me a place to start.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely! You've inspired me to use this stamp set!!
ReplyDeleteThis card is stunning! I hope you will give these sets more tries. I have been looking for just the right card for Christmas this year and this gives me lots of ideas. Love the dimension created by the swirling effect. Thank you for sharing!
