Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Winter Wonder

Happy New Year!!

I'm starting the year with a new challenge at the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Winter Wonder!!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Altenew.  A randomly selected participant will receive a stamp set of their choice from the Altenew shop!

The design team is also playing with Altenew products.  I have a number of their sets and they are the most unique sets out there.  For example, the background of my card is a set called "Dodecagram".  You're not going to find many stamp sets like it!

Make a Wish

I think the inspiration graphic is absolutely lovely.  I was inspired by the neutrals so I pulled in a light gray, a kraft, and an off-white.  I also liked the hint of sparkle.  I have a terrible time photographing sparkle so the above photo does not give you the full impact.  Here's a close-up.

Make a Wish Glitter

I also colored in the dodecagrams with various shades of light gray.

I hope you are inspired to play along.  Remember, you do not have to use Altenew products - but you have a chance to win some!!

Since it's the new year, I thought I'd share my new life with you.  I graduated with a second bachelor's degree last fall, took a little time off, but now it's time to re-start a career.  Here's "professional me".  It's been quite awhile since I've had to focus on hair and make-up!!

Kim Singdahlsen2 3x5

I'm starting a second career as an accountant!  It's going to be a little odd to start with because, before children, I had a 15-year career in a different field which allowed me some advanced opportunities.  Now I'm going to be working alongside 22-year-olds right out of college.  But accounting is going to get me where I want to be in the next decade or so.  After gaining experience in a company and/or a consulting firm, I will eventually be able to do it on my own.  It's a lot of work, but also a lot of flexibility.  If any of you are in the Denver area, and know about accounting jobs, I'm looking!!  My LinkedIn profile is www.linkedin.com/in/kimsingdahlsen.

Now back to what you are really here for - card details!!

Be sure to check out all of the other Altenew cards from our design team and our guest.

  21. Time to add some comments to all the oohing and ahhing your cards have received recently. I lack words to convey how smile-making and spirit-lifting your posts and cards have been over this sudden, life-transformed experience of losing my dad. Visiting your blog brings me joy! As for your card: gorgeous! You've worked magic with the stamps and the hint of sparkle...oh my! As for your new credentials and armed with that 'professional' photo: Look out accounting world! There's a new, brilliant gal in town, and she's going to turn some heads! All the best in the career search; you'll land something fabulous!
