Taylored Expressions has a fun multi-purpose die called
Band It 2. (There's also a "Band It" which is equally nice!)
It works beautifully for highlighting a sentiment - check out the
Taylored Expressions gallery for some stunning ideas (be sure to click "Show All"). But I am having a love affair with various dies at Taylored Expressions and decided to use them in reverse - I'm using Band It 2 to showcase the die and adding the sentiment elsewhere.
This is a 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" card which fits this sentiment. The butterfly is the Flutter-bys which includes the base butterfly, the detailed butterfly, and also both in a larger size.
Of course, I love my word dies - this card uses the Love You More stamp set with coordinating die. I've also used two patterned papers from the new Build a Scene paper pack - the leaves and the butterfly background is a swirly pink. Although there's a beautiful sequin pack that coordinates with Build a Scene, I've actually used sequins from the Rainbow Bright set. Cardstock colors are Lemon Meringue, Lollipop, Peapod and Sugar Cube.
I had to do another one of these cards because my current fave die is the Little Bits - Fox - I LOVE that face! So here's the masculine version of the card.
I added some enamel accents to give the eyes a little sparkle.
The patterned paper is also from the Build a Scene paper pack. I used Granny Smith and Salt Water Taffy cardstock. The fox is cut from a scrap piece of cardstock, but I used Buttercream Frosting for the lighter parts.
The fox is part of the Little Bits die series. I just searched for them here. There are a lot of options with which you could use this layout. What about the globe or the schoolhouse for a back to school option? The cake for a birthday card. There's a whole series of summer options that you could coordinate - watermelon and sand castles and even ants! There are multiple Halloween and Christmas options. There's even a cute little donut!! Just put any of them in the Band It 2 die and you have a quick and easy card!

ReplyDeleteOh, THAT fox. You're a genius. The woodgrain brown, the teensy clouds on the light blue PP. What a perfect combo for your artwork (reminds me of a framed picture in a museum).
