The Alley Way Stamps: Enjoy the Ride!!

I was crafting yesterday on a sweltering summer day and decided that I was going to do a beach scene so that I could imagine myself in the cool water!!

Enjoy the Ride

As much as I would love to claim credit for that beach - I totally CASed it from Karen.  I simplified it somewhat - look closely at hers and how the layers all fit together - it's amazing!  I added a little sunburst embossing - and I'm feeling cooler already!!

  • Stamps: The Alley Way Stamps Tropical Hideaway, all about YOU (sentiment)
  • Paper: Papertrey Ink Classic Kraft, Neenah Desert Storm, Stampin Up Daffodil and Baja, American Crafts Soho Garden 6x6
  • Ink: Memento Black
  • Accessories: My Favorite Things Snow Drifts and Wavy Edge dies, Papertrey Ink impression plate (I think it's been discontinued?), Ellen Hutson Daffodil and Water Sequins

  1. Cool card!! :-)
Love the different shades you used to make the beach.
And the sunburst die is great too.

  2. Very cool beach scene! Love the sentiment centered on the embossed sun. Great colors, great design, and boy, do I wish I were there right now! Have a good one. Bev

  3. This is beautiful Kim!!! LOVE that embossed sun burst!! Makes me want to be on the beach :)

  4. Oh good, more inspiration! This is such a cool scene, Kim ... love the embossed sun and the paper pieced surf board! Anita :)

  5. WOW, Kims, WOW! I do believe this will become a cult classic amongst card makers for the rest of time. WOW!

  6. P.S. If the ATCAS (Addicted to CAS) challenge is still on, this would be perfect for "teenager!" Unless that is one of the sites you are on the DT for. I loose track, sorry.

  7. This is such a cool card Kim!

  8. A wonderful beach scene. Love it. Reminds me of when my husband used to surf near San Diego! Oh, so many moons ago.... TFS

  9. It is cold & miserable here, Kim. 3 days of torrential rain ... I am feeling waterlogged! So ... Thanks for brightening my day with a summery card! Bring it on! Hugs xxx
