It's time for a new sketch at
Freshly Made Sketches! Today we have a sketch by
Jen Timko and here’s what I did with it!
Easter snuck up on me this year so I definitely knew I would go in that direction. I took a few left turns on this card. I started out with three crosses silhouetted at the base and the stripes that are on my current card (minus the green) was the sunrise behind it. The card had amazing potential but #1 I ripped the silhouette I had already die cut and #2 the cross die has totally disappeared. I went through everything in my trash can - no die. It's possible the cat walked away with it. It's also possible it got tucked in between other things I had out and years from now I'll pull something out and there it will be! But for today, I had to switch directions.
I have this oval of flowers that seemed very much like an egg. I added the green strip and the grass and a scalloped frame - and I think I like it better than where I started!!
I hope to see you playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches!

I love this multi-colored egg! I feel for you on the lost die -- that is so frustrating!
ReplyDeleteThat oval die is most definitely an Easter Egg! I love the spring colors and the grassy bottom is perfect!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors peeking through, this is delightful!
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful card, Kim. I love the DSP behind the "egg". It really makes it pop. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. I have done that. And some are still missing and some I have found! I love your flower egg! It has such happy colors. What a creative idea!
ReplyDeleteThis die cut is really beautiful for the sketch! I am hoping that wandering die shows up soon though. Always makes me feel like I'm losing it when that happens (too often). I just love the stripes in the background. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet card! I just love that flower egg and the pretty colours peeking out behind it! Perfect for Easter!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty Kim - love the stripes behind the diecut and the grass border makes for a neat take on the sketch - I'm beginning to think I was not creative enough this week! A happy accident but I hope the missing die turns up soon!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! The colours in the background are beautiful behind that fabulous die cut! I hope you find your missing die soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a joyful design! The pastel color striped background is terrific!
