I pulled out a not-yet-used die set. I love the dimension because of the two layers. I cut and adhered the top layer three times to really make the hedgehog and his little flower garden stand out.
The sketch didn't specify where to put the sentiment. First I had to decide what he should be saying and I knew he had made me smile so that seemed appropriate. I looked though my stash for one that would fit in amongst the detail and this one by Gina K fit just right!
The paper is older. I planned on some really bright spring colors and even had it cut, but to my eye, it overwhelmed the little scene. I dug way back in my stash and found this paper with sweet floral colors and a big stripe but with a softer look.
I hope to see you playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.

I love that your center panel of die cuts is just white with tiny oops of color! And yes the paper is perfect! Super sweet card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card, the hedgie is cute! I think I still have some of that PP hanging around!
ReplyDeleteI've got to agree with Linda. The (nearly) all white center is terrific. I love that you surrounded it with color and added the bold, black sentiment.
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet - love the all-white centre, such an interesting take on the sketch!
ReplyDeleteIt definitely makes me smile, Kim! This little scene is so sweet. I love the white on white focal image popping against the colorful backdrop.
