The card that I made is one of those that changed about a dozen times before I was done. I had intended to go across the entire card and I wanted to put it at a jaunty angle. After many iterations, I ended up with a small ornament hanging straight up and down. It's funny how that works sometimes. So if you want to see how flexible it can be - check out the link to it because there are many fun samples.

Making Spirits Bright
One of the Christmas dies that I hadn't used yet is the Large Ornament die from Paper Smooches. It's a fun concept because you cut the top and bottom of the ornament so you can make it any size. It's 3 3/4" wide so you could also make it go across virtually the entire card.

The embossing powder dates back ten or more years when I would go to stamping conventions and embossing powder booths were popular. There were always so many amazing colors and sparkles! Sadly, this particularly bottle doesn't have a company name - it's just called Midnite Sky.
SUPPLY LIST
The paper is from the older Basic Grey 25th & Pine 6x6 pad. I think the sequins are all from Pretty Pink Posh, but I actually got them as a freebie when I ordered from another company (who also carries PPP products.)

I love this...awesome use of the ornament!
ReplyDeleteI like what you ended up with Kim, this is wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteThis looks cool :) I love how you made the ornament a part of the panel !!
ReplyDeleteYour ornament, atop those in the background, is so pretty, especially with the midnight blue embossed sentiment. Why go 'big' when 'small' works to perfection? Another gem..
