I played at a girlfriend's house yesterday. She always has display boards of ideas and I often just happily CASE her ideas. I did start CASing this card with the randomly stamped image panel, but the colors and the entire layout are my own.
I have absolutely no natural light this morning so the whole photo has a yellowish cast. I do wish the goggles at the bottom were moved to the left, but they aren't my stamps and I didn't notice until I was taking the photos this morning!
The colors are from the colourQ challenge.
- Stamps: Stampin' Up Plane & Simple, Itty Bitty Backgrounds (for the yellow sprinkle)
- Ink: Stampin' Up Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy, Daffodil
- Paper: Stampin' Up Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Daffodil dsp
- Accessories: Stampin' Up Modern Label and Designer Label Punches, Old Olive Grosgrain, Cuttlebug embossing folder
I am jealous of the snow, Kim! I used to love it when it snowed in May, when I lived in Trinidad, but I am sure you might be getting tired of it by now. Love your card and how you used your colors. Thanks for joining us at the ColourQ this week. It has been so hot here, today we are having a lot of thunder, no rain!
ReplyDeleteLove this masculine take on the colors, Kim! The randomly stamped images look great, and I love the way you tied the ends of the label. Thanks for joining us at the ColourQ!
ReplyDeleteWonderful card Kim. The layout and stamps are wonderful with the color challenge; very masculine. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd snow!!! You have SNOW!! I'm jealous. We've been in the 70's (yesterday/today) and possible through early Sunday; but then it will go right back up to the horrid 90's plus!!! I'm not a summer person, its the only thing I don't like about Texas, the long hot summers. :( I'm going to sit here and enjoy your snow for a bit. :D

The previous comment is so funny! I posted a comment before blogger went down, much the same. Unfortunately I don't remember what I said, but I do love your snow picture, Kim! It is hot here in Texas. I love your card, all the things you did to give the card depth. Thanks for joining us at the ColourQ this week.
ReplyDeleteWow! Winter wonderland! LOL! It's been blowing a gale out of the north all week so it's pretty chilly - I'm back in jeans, having cast the shorts aside!!
ReplyDeleteLove that stamped panel and the layered tag. :)
Well, I gotta say you got more snow in Parker than we did in Roxborough! Nothing stuck over here.... I hear ya, it was so beautiful and then it was **WHAAAAATT?** SNOWING? Crazy! No matter how long I live in CO, I'll never be a fan of snow in May! Your card is great! Very masculine colors and I love the vintage look! Thanks for playing with us this week at CQC! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful Father's Day card! I really like that embossing folder for a masculine card! The snow is very pretty, even if it isn't particularly welcome this time of year! :) Wonderful photo you took of it!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, snow! It's very picturesque, but I wouldn't wish for it! Well, your card is great, too....a wonderful compilation of images and the layout is super! Thanks for playing the CQC this week!
ReplyDeleteI totally understand your pain, Kim. I live near the Rockies and we had snow up until about a week ago. I'm not changing my snow tires yet though, the long weekend is coming, which 95% of the time means more snow!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card! I love that "randomly" stamped panel, and the layout is fantastic! Great use of this week's colours. Thank for playing along. :)
Great colours! Fabulous design. Hugs xxaxx
ReplyDeleteHey Kim! Go back to your "edit" page ... and there should be somewhere to change the time that you published your post. You should be able to change this back to the original date!??? I hope that works. Hugs xxaxx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snow image! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat card Kim. Love the depth you have added to the embossing with the sponging.
