So many people have helped me this first week and a half of my second career (it's been a very long time since I've had to ask so many truly stupid questions), I am realizing that I need to make a collection of thank you cards to have ready to go. My card started with the die - it's been sitting in my never-used stash forever and I realized it would go perfectly with a "thanks". I pulled out my go-to paper pad (unfortunately very difficult to find now) and used the style of the paper to pick my sentiment.

Freshly Made Sketches: THX
It's time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches! Today we have a sketch by Rita.
I hope to see you playing along with Freshly Made Sketches!! I love seeing what you create!
SUPPLY LIST
The paper is We R Memory Keepers Chalkboard. It's tough to find the 6x6 pad - as I am typing this there are 3 of them here on Amazon. I'm so worried about running out that I actually have two full backup pads!! I've also seen 12x12 sheets (some of them split into the 4 small patterns on one sheet) at franticstamper.com.

Ok I lovelovelove that diecut! Sweet way to say thank you! Adorable card! Hope you are settling into your new routine!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cool and trendy card and I think that die is fantastic! Everyone has to ask dumb questions when they first start a new job. Eventually you'll get to the stage where you're answering someone else's dumb questions so it all evens out :)
ReplyDeleteI can see why you love this dsp -- the colors are fabulous. This is a cute card, Kim! And Karren is exactly right with the questions -- ha!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh I like this so much!! Great sentiment too!
ReplyDeleteGreat card, love the heart word balloon and how you've used it. Karen x
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fabulous card Kim! I love that background paper and I totally love that fun word balloon! Super cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a super-fun design. That die cut is just the greatest and I love how you did inlaid pieces with it. Really gorgeous design for this sketch!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool, Kim. I love how you did that speech bubble - the colors are perfect and the hearts are a really good complement to the chevrons.
ReplyDeleteLove your layering! And ... I am sooo itching to do a challenge ... it has been months and months! FMS always have the BEST sketches! Hugs xx
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely wonderful thank you card; one I know your new co-workers will be delighted to receive. Stupid questions from you? Not likely...it's all about learning so you can find your own rhythm...
