Taylored Expressions Release Day: A Grumpling Halloween

It's here!  All of the new products from Taylored Expressions are available!  Also be sure to head over to the Taylored Expressions Blog for a few more sneak peeks and, if you've been leaving comments, see if you are a winner of the giveaways.

I have one more peek for you.

This release has a third addition to the Grumplings line - Grumplings in Costume!!!  I am in love with the Grumplings.  Anyone with teenage boys has to have them in their collection.  They are actually good for anyone, e.g. the new Halloween set has a witch with the sentiment "You call me a witch like it's a bad thing".  I have a number of girlfriends who would think that's the funniest thing they had seen.  But for me - they solved all of my cardmaking problems with teenage boys because it fits their generally grumpy personalities!!

Because I have two sons, I got both cards done for this release.  The first is for my truly grumpy one.

TE I'm Not Happy

Just look at that face.  That's an expression that I see regularly on my 19-year old.  LOVE it.

TE I'm Not Happy Close-Up

I added a bright yellow honeycomb with the Hexagon Cutting Plate, then I added the spider from the new die set, Drink If You Dare to give it more of a Halloween look.  The gray in the background has been embossed with the new Weathered Embossing Folder.

The second grumpling that I used is just as cute.  This guy is a little more aggressive as he threatens harm if his candy disappears - this is most definitely perfect for my younger son. (Although he would tell you that I am the truly aggressive one when it comes to protecting my food - don't EVER steal my last bite because I have it all carefully planned and my fork just might be used on your thieving hand!)

TE Hand Over the Candy

Please note - I used last year's Halloween paper - but I did double-check with TE that they still had some available.  This is from the Hocus Pocus 6x6 Paper Pad and I had to use it for that candy patterned paper!

TE Hand Over the Candy Close-Up

I tried to create a little tag for my pirate with Build a Tag 5.  The main tag in the set has that ripped up bottom.  The stitched arch is also part of the set - along with a spider, the little coffin tag I used yesterday and more.

These sneak peeks have definitely put me in the mood for autumn and for Halloween.  And I so love the Southwestern look and am thrilled with those products. Don't forget to head over to the TE Blog to see the rest of today's peeks - and to find out if you have won any prizes!

  7. Oh Kim, I about fell off my chair laughing at your post. Teenage boys...I remember them well! And what fun stamps and sentiments! The 'candy' one applies to my husband perfectly...he does like his treats. Great cards. Seriously fun, and full of chuckles. Sounds like the witch set will be a best-seller too! My sister uses that phrase all the time, lol! Will head over to TE and check things out! Have a great weekend. Bev
