Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek 1: Boo Ghoulfriend!

It's day 1 of sneak peeks for the August release from Taylored Expressions!!  Day 1 of our sneak peeks jumps right into Halloween and I am ecstatic!  Fall, and its holidays, are my favorites.  I love the crisp, cool air; I love the colors; and I love the charming stamps.

Be sure to check all of the other designers starting on the Taylored Expressions blog because there is just too much for one designer to show off in just a few days.

All the products that I have used are linked at the bottom, but remember that new products aren't live until Thursday, August 6th, 7 a.m. PST.

Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog each Sneak Peek Day this week for details on how you can enter to win.

I would define myself as a clean and layered stamper.  I'm not heavily into patterned paper and I love lots of open space (even if it's not white).  But for me, all of this goes out the window for Halloween. I need lots of colors and patterns.  Clutter is good because you need cobwebs and spiders and all the other Halloween symbols.

This card uses the existing sets Toil & Trouble and Apothecary Shelf and the good news is that this release has the coordinating dies!!  The dies allowed me to layer up and "clutter" my scene on top of the fun new paper Build a Scene Halloween.

TE Hey Ghoulfriend!

Toil & Trouble has many, many other items with which you could decorate your shelf.  And you'll see other sets during sneak peeks that will work.  I've seen what the rest of the design team has done and you will be amazed at the Halloween groupings that you can create.

I offset my shelf with the idea that the striped paper is a curtain, then that only gave me room for the candelabra and the potion. The little spiders come from the new Little Bits - Halloween Confetti. The die also has a little skull and witch's hat and a bat and even more Halloween icons.

Another new item this release is an addition to the mailbox line of stamps, which already includes Christmas, fall, Valentine, spring and a patriotic box.  We now have You've Got Mail - Halloween! I think it's the cutest and will be just right for one of my little nieces.

TE Mailbox BOO

I thought the mailbox just had to go on the Postage Stamp Stacklet.  I put my mailbox against a brick background with the Brick Embossing Folder.  Then I got a little graphic with my themed squares - the cross-hatched grass, with the purple night sky and the glittery square(!) moon.  The Little Bits - Black Cat is new this release and I thought he'd be just right sitting in front of the mailbox with his glittery green eyes.

I hope to see you back tomorrow - there's three more sneak peek days before the release!  Don't forget to head over to the TE blog to leave a comment for a chance to win and to check out all of the other new release items and design team cards.

SUPPLY LIST

Hey ghoulfriend!

I've linked to the patterned paper pack because I already have the full collection of card stock, but TE also has the same pack of paper available along with a few sheets of coordinating cardstock.  I also used a black glittery embossing powder on the candelabra, Yellow Stickles on the flames, and a fine tip gold pen and the drawer pulls.

  8. ACK! Kim, I'm blown away by your Halloween cards! Even though I don't have many people to give Halloween cards too (although that may change with my niece starting kindergarten in the fall...eeeek on that! Her classmates would be a perfect audience, I'm thinking! Yayyy...just justified going shopping *grin*), I immensely enjoy making them. Your first card is so clever and the second, oh my! The mailbox, the embossing folder, the green-eyed cat...LOVE this, as will your niece (as would my niece). Stoked about this release for sure!
