My family is throwing a joint open house with our good friends who also have a son being confirmed. We decided that our guest lists were 95% the same, so why not make it easier on our friends and have one big event? We got together this afternoon and made forty invitations. (Hey Carol and Jeanne - I had fun making all of our cards today!) With forty invitations, it had to be easy to make and easy to send, plus it needed to be masculine since we each have sons. Here's what I came up with.
Guess how lucky I am? The party is at my friend's house! I don't have to clean!!!
- Stamps: Club Scrap Sacraments, Papertrey Ink Watercolor Wonder, WPlus9 Borders & Backgrounds 3
- Paper: black and white
- Ink: Stampin' Up Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate, Memento Black
Wauw love your card! I have a lot of bible scripture stamps and this is a great way to use them. Thank you for the inspiration!

Joint party - totally the way to go!! Love that you made the invitations together too - everything done in a third less time and way more fun! And the invitation btw - perfect for the occasion and perfect for a teenager!
ReplyDeleteSuch a joyous occasion to celebrate - and doing so with another family enhances the 'community' spirit of this event! My nephew is being baptized this weekend; I'm excited in every respect, from the visiting angle, as well as the religious (my mom is over the moon ecstatic!!). Your invitations are stunning! Huge congrats to your son on this milestone, and kudos to him for attending three years' worth of classes. Celebrations...
