This is my second post today!
There's a great sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch - it's got a fun diagonal element on it!
I thought that I remembered the sketch exactly and I happily pulled out a set that I hadn't used yet - Papertrey's Mini Blooms. I got it all done (actually I did it three times before I managed not to smudge or mess up an image) - then when I was posting it on the CTS blog - I realized that the sentiment was on the diagonal. I know there is no rule that says you have to follow a sketch exactly - but a diagonal sentiment would have been fun!!
I hope to see you playing along!!
- Stamps: Papertrey Ink Mini Blooms
- Paper: Papertrey Ink Melon Berry
- Ink: Papertrey Ink Melon Berry, Sweet Blush, Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, Limeade Ice
- Accessories: Papertrey Ink Melon Berry button, Mini Blooms dies
Sentiment on or not on a slant - this is one DAZZLING card! Love those stamped flowers! I think this is the 'inspiration' card to get me to dab my stamps into the inks I have and grit my teeth in accepting that 'colour kissing' is inevitable. I have TAWS flowers calling for stamping; may have to give this a go...ReplyDelete
Thank you so much for commenting on my post, especially sharing the 'realities' of ink. If only I weren't so obsessive! As for my husband - yep, he's a keeper. Did I mention he makes home-made pizza (my only contribution is the dough) and pasta, with a little hand-cranked pasta maker, along with home-made tomato sauce? Plus, all his bike-riding leaves me with card-making time, so that's an extra bonus. Have a great day; I'll chime in with anwers to your survey this morning!
It's STILL fun even with out the diagonal sentiment! Cute color combo too ;)ReplyDelete
Great color combination!ReplyDelete
That's what they call artistic license !!ReplyDelete
Love the flowing florals.
Ah, you're a wild woman, putting your sentiment straight on! lol! Love the abundance of blooms - very cheery on a snowy (in Toronto, anyway) day!ReplyDelete
Great stamping/take on the sketch, such a pretty card!ReplyDelete

Uber sweet Kim, these colours so totally make me happy!ReplyDelete
Sigh ... I wish it was coming into spring here! Love these fresh colours ... So happy! Hugs xxxReplyDelete
Kim, this is so pretty. Love how you used the flowers.ReplyDelete
Bee-u-ti-ful! Love the colors, love the layout!ReplyDelete
Kim, this is so sweet and I just love all those cheerful flowers. Makes me smile.ReplyDelete
This is why I always avoided sketches - I thought you had to stick exactly to the design. But I found creative freedom with CAS(E) This Sketch!ReplyDelete
Anyway, I love your re-arranged version with the straight sentiment and the little popped flower.
Love your diagonal cascade of flowers and your sentiment looks fab as is. xReplyDelete
Another fabulous card Kim :) Viv xxReplyDelete
Love the sentiment just where it is, Kim, against all those bright, spring blooms and that sweet little button! Anita :)ReplyDelete
It's perfect! I wouldn't change one thing about it...well, maybe I'd put it in an envelope and send it to me. ;) I've been seeing it all over pinterest so I'm not the only one that feels that way!ReplyDelete
This color combination is awesome! I just adore the various little flowers throughout!ReplyDelete
