I talk a lot about planning to use patterned paper, then not ending up using it. In the meantime, I do have a serious collection of patterned paper. I knew what I was doing with this sketch the second I saw it. I used this nature scene paper from Stampin' Up (retired) along with a critter for a birthday card for my husband. The critter was supposed to be a moose based on a fabulous vacation we took last year to the Moose Capital of Colorado (Walden, population 569) but my stash failed me. I had a large very goofy moose and a small cute moose, neither of which I wanted to use with the gorgeous background paper.
I hope to see you playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.

Terrific background, this is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteKim, you've created a marvelous masculine card with your patterned paper and deer pairing. While a moose would have been your preference, this combination works wonderfully. Your visit to Walden sounds like fun. I should check to see if we have a Moose Capital in Alberta...

Love this Kim - this sketch is so perfect for scenic DSP for sure. Great addition of the deer too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful scene card you've created! Your stag/moose (stoose? mag?) really pops in kraft.
