Say Cheese and Sending Big Hugs

This week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches includes a big diagonal stripe.  I already posted this card for it but I had actually started in a different direction with angled speech bubbles.  Then I realized the little critters needed to be on a narrower panel - then I didn't want to angle the speech bubbles very much so I didn't hide any little critters - then I added layers of colored bubbles two of which were fairly straight.  When I got to the picture, I just didn't really see the big diagonal stripe anymore but I like the card so here it is!

Big Hugs

Aren't they just darling? I don't use many cute stamps any more. My sons are college-aged and my nieces are tween/teens going on 30!  But I think I have a small window with the tween that I can mix a few cute cards in so I am taking full advantage of it!

Here's the sketch for this week.  I hope to see you play along!

Stamps: Picket Fence Studios Say Cheese, sentiment is from two Papertrey Ink sets
Dies: Impression Obsession Stitched Speech Border
Paper: Stampin' Up Mango Melody and Flirty Flamingo CS, Flirty Flamingo DSP
Other: Pretty Pink Posh Marigold Gems

  1. I think the tween with love this, it's so dang cute! I can see why you didn't want to hide the critters!

  2. This is TOTALLY AMAZING! Those dies...those eyes....those colors...I just keep looking at it, it's so CUTE!

  3. What an adorable second take on the sketch, Kim. Those critters are so cute and the use of the speech bubbles for the diagonal is such a clever idea.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on my card! I do get spam comments so your comment will be held until I read it and release it!
