This week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches includes a big diagonal stripe. I already posted this card for it but I had actually started in a different direction with angled speech bubbles. Then I realized the little critters needed to be on a narrower panel - then I didn't want to angle the speech bubbles very much so I didn't hide any little critters - then I added layers of colored bubbles two of which were fairly straight. When I got to the picture, I just didn't really see the big diagonal stripe anymore but I like the card so here it is!
Aren't they just darling? I don't use many cute stamps any more. My sons are college-aged and my nieces are tween/teens going on 30! But I think I have a small window with the tween that I can mix a few cute cards in so I am taking full advantage of it!
Here's the sketch for this week. I hope to see you play along!

ReplyDeleteACK!! I LOVE THIS.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable second take on the sketch, Kim. Those critters are so cute and the use of the speech bubbles for the diagonal is such a clever idea.
