Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek 3: Zoo Trips and Sunglasses

It's day 3 of sneak peeks for the June release from Taylored Expressions!!  The entire release is about summer fun and today I am visiting the zoo with my sunglasses!  Be sure to check all of the other designers starting on the Taylored Expressions blog because there is just too much for one designer to show off in just a few days.

All the products that I have used are linked at the bottom, but remember that new products aren't live until Thursday, June 4th, 7 a.m. PST.

Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog each Sneak Peek Day this week for details on how you can enter to win.

I love going to the zoo.  Even before I had children, my husband and I would skip work on my birthday and head to the Denver Zoo.  I find them romantic!!  Then the kids came along and it was their excitement and joy that kept us going to the zoo.  This is a fun picture of my youngest when he was just 9 years old.  This is the Metro Richmond Zoo that we get to see when we visit their Nana.  Our local zoo doesn't let us get quite this up close and personal with the animals.

Because of this scene, giraffes have always had a special place in my heart, so when it came to using the stamp set Wild About You, the giraffe had to be the first to see ink.

Isn't this a great way to apologize?  I pulled out the previously released Swirly Clouds and the Wispy Grass Border.  I added a little bit of texture to the wall/fence using the new Bead Board Embossing Folder.

Of course, when you are out and about in the summer, you need your sunglasses.  Check out these new Summer Sunnies!

I used them to make a shaker with the itty bitty summer shapes from Little Bits - Summer Confetti. (After I got the whole shaker put together, I find the tiny bikini bottoms still on my desk - so I have the bright orange bikini tops, but no bottoms!)

The sentiment comes from the previously released Coconut Cove and seemed just perfect for this summer "scene".

I hope to see you back tomorrow - there's a lot more summer fun with this release!  And don't forget to head to the TE Blog to leave a comment for a chance to win and to start checking out all of the other newly release items and design team cards.

For the paper, I started with the base stripe from Simple Stories Urban Traveler and then found tiny matching scraps for the confetti.

  10. What a fabulous photo of your son and giraffe; definitely a treasured moment. Your cards are marvelous! The giraffe 'apology' of the first is incredibly sweet, while your shaker is simply marvelous (even without the bikini bottoms!). Such fun....
