I'll let you in on my deep, dark secret - I don't often make Valentine's cards. I was catching up on all of your blog posts yesterday and many were saying that you loved making Valentines - it made me feel a little guilty about not creating more in this season of love. But I only give cards to two little nieces and to my three men/boys (and those have to be snarky or "scientific" like yesterday's card.)
Consequently, I don't buy many Valentine or heart stamp sets. But I have to tell you that this new release set by Fresh Squeezed Stamps would have ended up in my collection even if I weren't on the design team. It's a great collection of hearts - different shapes, different patterns and different sizes. I've only used one heart on my sample card, so be sure you head over to the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog to see the fun variety of hearts.
- Stamps: Fresh Squeezed Stamps When Hearts Collide
- Paper: Stampin' Up Crushed Curry, Project Life Midnight Edition dsp
- Ink: Stampin' Up Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, My Favorite Things Bubblegum, Papertrey Ink Smokey Shadow
- Accessories: Prima Anna Marie Sugardot Stickers (enamel hearts), MME Ginger "Relax" twine
This is so pretty, love it!
ReplyDeleteI love those hearts and the embellishments to match. The background paper just tops (or backs) it off. ;)
ReplyDeleteYour cards showcasing this new FSS release have moved me from 'thinking' about ordering, to *I will* order! They're just so versatile, be they Valentine aimed or for other occasions! LOVE the wired love hearts! In a swoon...

What a collision of hearts and end result is a blast of perfection
ReplyDeleteNo need to feel guilty, I love hearts and Valentines but I usually only give to my Mom, hubby and kids--I love making treat bags for them too. This is such a fantastic new set that can be used for more than Valentines Day!
ReplyDeleteWow, Love those colliding hearts!
ReplyDeleteAnd the Sugardot stickers!!! THE perfect finishing touch!!!
And your patterned paper makes sure your card isn't too sweet and cute!
Great detail is your colorcombo and use of yellowish twine.
You give 'Valentine cards' a total makeover, love it!
And I can relate to not making Valentine cards.... but this year my teenaged daughter of 16 wants to give all of her friends a Valentine 'something' so I guess I'll have to come up with something 'Valentinish' this year, sigh!
The good news is that you've given me a lot of inspiration on how NOT to use only reds and pinks!! LOL
Thanks!
Bye,
Marjolein
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this card! Brilliant colors, a wonderful stitched mat, sweet enamel dots, the dp is perfect, the perfectly coordinated twine, and that stamp... Oh goodness! I just might have to order this set! I hope you don't mind if I pin this. Exquisite! Bev
