With Apologies...

Hey friends!

Just wanted to apologize to all of you as I have not been by any blogs to comment.  I haven't even found the time to read your blogs which makes me really, really sad.

As most of you know, I am at the tail end of a second college degree and the group of classes that I have right now are overwhelmingly time-consuming.  Last week - 66 hours of accounting work and I didn't quite get everything done.  And even though I would like to take a break at my craft table, my brain hurts...and good cards do not come out hurting brains...I know...I've tried!

This accounting program runs two classes for two months (instead of a typical college program with full-time being four classes for four months.) This group of classes is done in early March. Fingers crossed that the next group will come a little easier.

You all have been so kind to continue commenting even though I've dropped out of sight on your blogs. Our blogging/crafting world is a fantastic place and I thank each of you.  Don't give up on me - I'll be back!

I am getting a few cards made as required by design teams.  (Thank goodness I kept a few design teams or I think my craft table would be covered with dust by now.)  There are also a few special occasions for which I make time to make cards.  Yesterday was an open house at a wonderful family's new home. They have moved three generations into one house and I love each of the generations.  One family member is a cardmaker, so I definitely could not arrive empty-handed.  (Hey Carol - I saw your craft room on the tour - when can I come play??)

  1. Fab card as always! Such a great image you used for the tag, and I just LOVE the DP you used, it matches the pretty little flower next to the frontdoor so perfectly!!
And don't we all have periods when we just don't have enough time to do the things we want to do, because we're so busy doing the things we HAVE to do??
Sweet of you to let us know how busy you are with your study!!! You can do it!!
I wish you all the succes and blessing you'll need to get your degree/ diploma! ( or what ever they call it in the US)
As for your friend Carol, you've made me curious how her playroom, excuse me, 'CRAFTroom' looks like, ha, ha, must be something!!!
Bye and remember, we'll be waiting patiently for your 'return' to blogland, ha, ha!

  11. Kim, you're so sweet to share your 'concerns' that we're not *hearing* from you, because your time, energies, 'brain space,' and responsibilities are calling you elsewhere. We understand completely that 'other things' - especially a pursuit as important and inspiring as yours - need to take priority. You focus on what needs doing, and we'll continue to share our support, encouragement and love for you! Despite being pulled in several directions, and expending mega-energy on your course, you STILL dazzle us with your creativity and talent! Anytime you share a card, my day becomes more sunny! Your card here: evidence of precisely that! A wonderful card for your your new 'three generations' neighbours! LOVE this!! You'll ace your courses, for sure, and I'm sending a big virtual hug as a wee bit of extra 'oomph'!

  12. Reading and commenting do take a lot of time. It's more important to get your studies done and keep up with the design teams so we can see your wonderful cards. I love the accent of printed paper on this one. So sweet.

  18. fabulous card, as are ALL of yours!!! Love, love, love your style. I understand how hard you are working in school - don't worry about not getting around to blogs during this period. We, as women, put so much pressure on ourselves, and yet there are only so many hours in the day. I have been hammered by work lately also, and there is dust galore on my craft table, and it makes me sad, but I know I'll get back to it once things calm down a bit. Keep smiling!!
