Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek 2: Love & Best Wishes

It's day 2 of a love-themed release from Taylored Expressions!!  I have an odd mix of cards today - one dainty and very elegant and two that have big bold dies and frames.

All the products that I have used are linked at the bottom, but remember that new products aren't live until Thursday, March 5th, 7 a.m. PST.  Also, be sure to check all of the other designers starting on the Taylored Expressions blog because we all were assigned different products to show off.

This month includes an amazing grouping of dies that you can create an entire arbor scene.  It's truly lovely when it's all put together.  The arch is from the Garden Arbor & Gate die which also includes a gate and even the "hardware" for the gate. (I didn't use the gate because my banner would have hidden it.)   The fence you see on both sides is the Arbor Fence.  Finally the lovely vine is the Arbor Accessories die - there's incredible detail on this die.  I also wanted to focus on the gorgeous new metallic neutral paper pack so my "greenery" is metallic! These papers have a beautiful subtle sheen.  The grass is the new Wispy Grass Border die and the sequins are from the Wedding Sequin Pack.

The "accessory" vine is wonderfully detailed with a separate die for cutting the flowers.

The sentiment comes from the new In & Out Wedding.  This set also has gorgeous and meaningful inside sentiments.

Next I'm going to stick with the love theme, but with bolder sentiments and dies.

I couldn't make up my mind on this card - so I made the same card in two different ways.  They both use the new Block Party - Love die and the biggest frame in the Frame in Frame Cutting Plate. They also use the new embossing folders - Woodgrain and Floral Vine.

This first card uses the previously released Flutter-bys with Toffee, Buttercream Frosting and Strawberry Milkshake cardstock.

Then I really wanted to use the new Little Bits - Champagne Flutes which seemed appropriate for a "love" card.  I pulled out graoe-themed colors - Plum Punch, Peapod and Toffee.

Check out these champagne flutes!  I made the wine by cutting a full glass and then trimming off the top and the stem.

That's all from me today.  Tomorrow is an entirely different theme and look so be sure to stop back!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek 1: Love Lifts You

It's day 1 of a love-themed release from Taylored Expressions!!  I've had so much fun getting ready for this release. Cards came together easily and I like the results! That definitely says something about the products because I typically struggle over my cards.

All the products that I have used are linked at the bottom, but remember that new products aren't live until Thursday, March 5th, 7 a.m. PST.  Also, be sure to check all of the other designers starting on the Taylored Expressions blog because we all were assigned different products to show off.

My first card uses the set Carried Away along with its coordinating die for the balloons.  This is such a fun and unique set - I've never seen anything like it!  There's a flying bicycle, a flying house and a kissing couple - with masses of tiny balloons!

I'm using the previously released Build a Scene - Rolling Cloud die.  The cardstock is Salt Water Taffy, Sprinkles and Cherry Pop.

Check out these tiny balloons.  And if you hate the idea of cutting and gluing that many balloons - the stamp set comes with tiny balloon stamps instead!

Continuing with the love theme, the next card is a more elegant.  I'm using the new Little Bits - Party Dress die along with the Little Bits - Hanger die.  For the background, I used Toffee on Toffee with the new Bold Lace Cutting Plate.  You're getting a sneak of sneak with the frame - it's the Frame in Frame Cutting Plate which won't be introduced until tomorrow.

The other exciting new products on this card are the Metallic Neutral Cardstock.  It has a wonderful, elegant shimmer but isn't glittery.  The paper pack includes five metallics - I'm showing the silver and gold here, along with the coordinating Wedding Sequin Pack.

The sentiment is from the previously released Many Minis - Occasions and the Designer Mini Tags.

I hope you like what you have seen so far - be sure to check out all of the other designers starting with the Taylored Expressions blog.  There is so much new product in each release that everybody has a different assignment.  If you stop with me, you won't see it all!!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Lucky

It's time for a new challenge at the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Lucky!!

I was clearly totally inspired by the graphic - I love the flipped up edges of the shamrocks!

Kiss Me

It's easier to see the popped up parts here.

Kiss Me Close

The three shamrocks came hooked together and I hadn't snipped them apart - so I just used them as one die - it made for an easy layout!

Be sure to play along!  The Lead of the Curtain Call challenge will be invited to be a guest in an upcoming challenge.

SUPPLY LIST

The cardstock and papers are the retired Stampin' Up color Gumball Green.
