It's time for a new sketch at
Freshly Made Sketches! Today we have a sketch by
Narelle!
A friend at work has a birthday this week. She is always wonderfully cheerful, bright and fresh. So I used her as my inspiration for these sweet flowers - isn't it fun that our hobby allows us to create something that is exactly right for the recipient?!
This is an older Stampin' Up sentiment called Friendly Phrases. It's one of those sets that I won't be letting go of. It's such a simple look but the hint of script makes it so fun and interesting! The dies are still around - they are the Flourish Thinlits.
I'm also playing along with The Paper Players. I knew as soon as I saw it that the colors were just right for this card. A fabulous combination of bright colors, yet I think the Crumb Cake tones it down and keeps it natural.
Thanks to both challenges for helping me put this card together - it's just right for the birthday girl!
SUPPLY LIST
Stamps: Stampin' Up (SU) Friendly Phrases
Dies: SU Flourish Thinlits, Reverse Confetti Tag Me, My Favorite Things Blueprints 13 (the stitched edge)
Cardstock: SU Calypso Coral, Lemon Lime Twist, Crumb Cake dsp (the older set of coordinating carstock)
This is so clean, yet has such beautiful detail with these fabulous dies. Love this, Kim!

ReplyDeleteSo fresh and clean--love all that white space! I have this sentiment set and won't ever part with it either. Lovely use of the sketch and the colors...thank you for joining us at The Paper Players!
ReplyDeleteHaha - I chose the same colors for my card this week! I love how you anchored the images by using the Calypso Coral as the background color too. It really makes the white space that much more striking and shows off the die cuts too.
ReplyDeleteAwesome CAS card! So fresh and fun. Thanks for playing along at The Paper Players, so happy you joined us!
