I decided that I needed to come back today and do another card for Darnell's Never-Before-Used-Schtuff because little-rule-follower-me is still bothered by putting up a birthday card yesterday when the theme is friendship. I know...I just need to get over myself...but my obsessive nature did give me a chance to make another card today!
I'm still pulling from the top of the pile (instead of the bottom where I should be focusing) and am using some stuff from the newest Papertrey Ink release. I like the stamped bow. My true intent is to use this set for my envelopes since it includes twine, bows and tags - all stamped and therefore flat. The set is No Strings Attached. The hello is brand new - the Wet Paint dies. The sentiment hasn't been used although I have used one banner stamp from its set - Sketched Shapes - and I do tend to move stuff out of my NBUS pile even if only one stamp has seen ink. The tiny little heart also comes from NBUS stuff but I'm not going to count it since it's just a tiny addition to a bigger set.
Hello Darnell...my friend...thanks for giving all of us a chance to use our NBUS stuff!
- Stamps: Papertrey Ink No Strings Attached (twine, bow, tag and shadow), Sketched Shapes (sentiment), one of the Heart-2-Heart mini sets which include the teeny heart
- Paper: Papertrey Ink Classic Kraft, Hawaiian Shores
- Ink: Papertrey Ink Classic Kraft, Aqua Mist, Spring Rain, Pure Poppy, Versamark
- Accessories: Papertrey Ink Wet Paint Cut dies, Heat-n-Stick Powder and fine crystal glitter on the heart, Pretty Pink Posh 4 mm sparkling clear sequins
Hello, Kims! You are very welcome! I'm glad to have you joining in again with my NBUS Challenge with your friendly card! That bow and tag/shadow are so intriguing and kept me staring at the card quite a long time! I'm loving how they did that and how you showcased how they did that!! (Groan, more NBUS coming in, I can just feel it!!)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the day! Hugs, Darnell
LOVE the effect of the No Strings Attached set. Like Darnell, I've been staring at the card for a long time :)
ReplyDeleteExcuse me a second while I settle back in the chair I fell out of...seriously, all these are stamps? The tag? The bow? Like Darnell, I'm marveling over how incredibly you've achieved the effect of 'dimension'. The tag, especially with the shadow, looks like, well. a tag...and the bow, oh my. That is my, kind. of. bow! I'd love to add some PTI to my collection, but the shipping: ouch. Some day...and until then, I'll just enjoy the magic you create with their products! As for a 'friendship' NBUS - I'm with you in the rule following. So far, one entered, which means I could still add two more! Thinking cap on!!

Gorgeous, love the soft colours!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your card Kim. You always inspire me.
ReplyDeleteYay for you, Kim. My cards at NBUS weren't truly "friend" cards either - just invitations which are going to friends. But I didn't do a redo. Just curious (you are my techie hero) if you're still happy with feedly. I think it's "time" (Blogger's feed is down and has been for a few days. Talk about feeling withdrawal ;)
ReplyDeleteOh geez - I forgot to mention how cool the shadow behind the tag on your card looks!
