I hope you have a happy, happy, happy day.
Mine will be great in about THREE more hours. Today I am beginning my stint as the temporary, full-time pianist at church since our amazing pianist of the last six years has moved on. I love giving to my church. I love music. But I am a very, very, very nervous pianist and I want so badly to make it a meaningful worship service that I feel I cannot make mistakes. And I DO make mistakes. It's a bad combination which leads to shaky hands and utter exhaustion when it is over. I'm hoping as the weeks go by, I will settle into this position and begin to feel the sheer joy of lifting up my music!! Say a prayer... (I'll be fine...but I'm writing this 15 minutes before I head to church and my nerves are starting to act up!)
- Stamps: The Alley Way Stamps bite size, jibber jabber, mad gab
- Paper: white
- Ink: Memento black and copics (see the side bar for my charts of Copic colors that match Stampin' Up and Papertrey Ink)
- Accessories: arrow paper clip from Hobby Lobby, Ranger Glossy Accents, Art Institute Glitter
Scrumptious card, Kim! I hope your nerves didn't get the better of you.
ReplyDeleteGreat card. Love the addition of the paper clip
ReplyDeleteLOVE this cas creation - that paper clip is so cool - great idea to stamp inside, too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy, happy, happy card! Perfect for the challenges! I said a prayer for you today as you shared your time and talents at your church...using the gifts God has given you, you GO girl! I'm sute the more you do it the more comfortable you will become with it. (And remember, we are all human and make mistakes...if anyone says something to you, tell them they are welcome to try it! It is more likely that you are the only one noticing any mistakes...I'm sure it is all beautiful!)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun card!
ReplyDeleteThanks again.

I do hope your piano playing was not too stressful and that you were able to realise it is what comes from the heart not from the fingers! We had a moment last night at church where we had to stop & pick up again. No one minds ... Truly! It is all about God ... And our sincerity of worship ... So relax and try to be kinds to yourself! Love the card ... Queen of clean! Hugs xxx
