Taylored Expressions Release Day: Sky High

It's here!  All of the new products from Taylored Expressions are available!  Also be sure to head over to the TE Blog for a few more sneak peeks and, if you've been leaving comments, the winners of the giveaways.

I have one more sneak peek for you.

I mentioned on Tuesday that I have lots and lots of graduation cards to make.  The cards that I showed you on that day were all fairly classic graduation-style cards.  But there's a new set of stamps and dies this month that can make gorgeous and meaningful cards in a very different style using balloons!  This card includes the Sky High Hot Air Balloons die set and the Sky High Sentiments stamp set.

I used Peapod, Candy Corn, Salt Water Taffy, Sugar Cube and the new Lavender Glaze cardstock.  The embossing folder is the previously released Cloudy Days Embossing Folder.  The sequins are from the new Double the Joy Sequin set but I did pick out the pink sequins to coordinate better with this card.

Although I'm all about graduation this year, there are so many other uses for hot air balloons.  And even the balloon dies are all about flexibility.  The center of the big balloon is separate so you don't have to cut the little windows.  There are other details for the balloon baskets that I didn't use on this card. And there's even two more sizes that I haven't shown you.

And have fun shopping!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek 3: Cloudy and Rainy

It's day 3 of the spring release from Taylored Expressions!!  I titled my post "cloudy and rainy" because I have some fabulous cloud and rain products to show you.  But don't think that it's all dark and dreary - because it's actually all about bright umbrellas and cute boots!

Be sure to check all of the other designers starting on the Taylored Expressions blog because there is just too much for one designer to show off in just a few days.

All the products that I have used are linked at the bottom, but remember that new products aren't live until Thursday, April 9th, 7 a.m. PST.

Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog each Sneak Peek Day this week for details on how you can enter to win.

One of the new products being release is the Cloud Stacklet set of dies.  It's a handy set because it has five different sizes of clouds.  My first card uses the smallest two clouds along with the new Little Bits Umbrella die.  Also check out the new Raindrops Embossing Folder.

Taylored Expressions Umbrellas, Clouds & Rain

I love this cheerful scene and the meaning behind the sentiment "pray hope trust" from the older set Faith in Bloom.

The blue cardstock is Salt Water Taffy and the umbrella handle uses the silver paper from the Metallic Neutrals Cardstock Pack.  I also used paper from the new Double the Joy Paper Pack

My next card uses a slightly bigger cloud from Cloud Stacklets.  (FYI: the biggest cloud in the set covers the entire card front!).  I've also used a cute boot and sentiment from the new stamp set Bloomin' Boots and the Bloomin' Boots Coordinating Dies.

Cute Boots on a Rainy Day

Bloomin' Boots does come with a cute little flower image, but I actually paper-pieced the boot using For Peep's Sake Paper Pack.  This paper was released last month, but I needed its cheerful flowers and soft rain papers for this card. I used Little Bits - Weather Confetti to make the shaker along with a few sequins from TE Sequins - Build a Scene, a previously released set of sequins full of blues and whites.

As I was putting things away from the previous card, the little raindrop cloud that I had cut out for the shaker was too cute to throw away - so here's an extra card!  I loved doing this because it let me who you a different style boot and one of the flower bouquets that you can use in the boot.  I also used the very biggest cloud in the Cloud Stacklet to do a cloud border.

Freshly Made Sketches: Oh Happy Day

It's time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches!

I decided that this sketch was a good time to pull out a larger, decorative sentiment. I have so many images that I love, that I think I tend to ignore the sentiments!  I kept it all very simple and followed the sketch exactly so that the focus was on "Oh Happy Day".

Oh Happy Day

I hope to see you playing along!

I picked ink that matched the paper but it ended up being two retired colors: Stampin' Up Purely Pomegranate and Summer Starfruit.
