It's the first day of sneak peeks for the August release from
Taylored Expressions!! It's extra exciting because we all took a break in July so it's been an entire
two months since there's been a release! Today is all about Halloween.
Be
sure to check out all of the other designers starting on the
Taylored Expressions blog because there is just too much for one designer to show off in just a few days. All the products that I have used are linked at the bottom, but remember that new products aren't available until
Thursday, August 4th, 7 a.m. PST.
Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the
TE blog to answer Taylor's Question of the Day for a chance to win a prize from the latest release.
Hey Ghoulfriend
First is a new addition to the Roly Poly series - it's a witch!
I love the Roly Poly series. The parts of each Roly Poly are sized to fit perfectly in one of the Stitched Circle Stacklets. This is the tenth Roly Poly - so I think there are now options for every holiday, season and occasion! They work on cards. They are also great tags and they are very fun to do in felt.
When I decided she was a "ghoulfriend", I decided she needed bows in her hair, a starry hat and orange glittery boots! The patterned paper is from the new 6x6 pad - Haunted. It's full of polka dots, stripes and stars in colors that coordinate with Taylored Expressions cardstock and ink.
Silhouetted Witch
For our Halloween or fall crafting, there are two great new dies - On a Limb-Branches and On a Limb-Leaves. Since today is all about Halloween, I decided to put a moon and a witch behind some silhouetted branches. I also gave it a bit of shimmer for this magical, moonlit night.
The other new things on this card are the Spooky Clouds die, the sentiment from Boo to You, and the Fright Night Flight Embossing Folder. The witch is an older die, already in the store - Little Bits-Witch.
There is also a great new witch die with this release - you'll see it as you browse through the rest of the design team's blogs. I wanted to use her, but I needed something slightly smaller and this older die was a great fit.
I am kind of tickled with the way I did the sentiment. I used the Banner Stacklets 2, upside down and trimmed down - and it became a tombstone!!
I hope you enjoyed this bit of Halloween on the 1st day of August. It's been so darn hot here, working on autumn and Halloween cards has felt like a breath of cool air!
