It's day 3 of the Easter-themed release from
Taylored Expressions!!
All the products that I have used are linked at the bottom, but remember that new products aren't live until
Thursday, February 5th, 7 a.m. PST.
Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog each Sneak Peek Day this week for details on how you can enter to win.
My first card for today uses the new set
Tag-a-Long Easter. I've also used a new embossing folder -
Leafy Vine and the new tag set
Build a Tag 3. I challenged myself to avoid pink on this card with the idea that it could work for a little boy. The cardstock is
Salt Water Taffy, Potato Chip and
Peapod.
The set comes with a number of sentiments to fit with "Somebunny wants to wish you..." I used the traditional "Happy Easter" on the inside of my card.
Check out that bunny peeking through the little window. The tag, the window and the banner come in Build a Tag 3 along with three other shapes.
This release also has a new addition to the
You've Been Framed line of dies which currently includes Halloween, Christmas and Valentines. The new addition is Spring and has four dies - butterflies, a birdhouse, an Easter egg and a bunny. These dies are fabulous with the
Test Tubes and
Test Tube Caddy die - check out this cute
Halloween set to see what I mean. Sadly, I don't happen to have the test tube die (which clearly needs to be remedied) but these have so many more uses. First, here's my card showing three of the
You've Been Framed - Spring dies plus the new
Floral Lattice Cutting Plate.
The cardstock is Lemon Meringue, Strawberry Milkshake, Candy Corn and Peapod.
Next - I moved out of my comfort zone. Actually, I took a big, giant, Olympic-sized leap out of my comfort zone. I did a dimensional, non-card project!! When I was asked to be on this design team, I actually warned them that I was not experienced at non-card projects so was not confident in my ability to show off some of their products. I think they heard me, because my assignment for today was to use these dies either as a card or a tag - they gave me an easy out. But I decided to challenge myself and I made both!! My "tag" actually ended up more as a garden pick simply because it fit better. Check out the Easter table decorations that I will use for my 7 and 10-year old nieces at Easter. (I thought about making these baskets for everybody. I know the adults would appreciate them - but I just couldn't see them sitting in front of my teenage boys!)
That little bird is too sweet! (I didn't make him, he's from the wedding section at Michaels. The flower, leaf and eggs are also from Michaels. I got a supply of the little baskets from World Market.)
Of course, what makes this basket unique is the tag and sentiment from Taylored Expressions. Otherwise, it looks like I bought a pre-made basket (which is most definitely my usual method for table decorations, assuming that I actually do take time to decorate the table.)
Here's the full basket....
I wanted each niece to have her own personal basket, so here's a version in different colors.
This was definitely a fun day for me - I may have to move out of my comfort zone more often (or maybe not given these took hours upon hours to shop for and put together!)
Be sure to head to the Taylored Expressions blog to enter the contest and then hop through all of the other designers to see everything that is available with this release.
