Not a lot of chat from me today. It's finals week - again! In a program with two courses every two months, finals week seems to come around way too regularly. I have two big papers due Sunday at midnight and I haven't even started (I keep getting distracted by my craft desk!)
- Stamps: Stampin' Up Starburst Sayings, Regarding Dahlias (thank you)
- Paper: Stampin' Up Pool Party, So Saffron, Baked Brown Sugar, Retro Fresh dsp
- Ink: Stampin' Up Tangerine Tango, Baked Brown Sugar, Versamark (for heat and stick)
- Accessories: Stampin' Up ribbon, scallop punch, button, twine, starburst dies, heat and stick powder, Ellen Hutson Daffodil sequins
I believe you've got a winner here! Wonderful card, Kim! I'm so glad you made time to make a card, and I know you'll get those papers done in time and get A+s on both of them. Thought about graduate school after I got my degree, but was too tired! It's for the best now, I need to be home with DH. Love the colors of your card, the sweet little button, and you've nailed this sketch. Well done! BevReplyDelete
Great sketch! Love your colorcombo, it's soooo you, ha, ha.ReplyDelete
Love the pleaded (!!) ribbon behind the banner and of course the sequins add the perfect finishing touch.
Wish everything in life could be so fullfilling as crafting and visiting craftblogs. :-)
I wish you good luck on your exams!
Hope you'll pass, makes it worth all the hours you couldn't spend behind your craftdesk, ha, ha.
I love that Starburst Saying set and you have used it perfectly! I am so impressed by how you are juggling school and still staying creative! Go for it! You are an inspiration!ReplyDelete
Oh yes, I totally understand the 'distractions' that become far more alluring when some 'must do' things are on the agenda. I was a 'last minute' assignment student often, and while that's not a strategy I recommended my students take when I was a teacher, the irony was that many times, the last moment hand-ins were the best. Go figure. I, though, applaud your craft desk calling to you, because the card that resulted is outstanding! Eye-catching colour combination, and the scallop+ribbon+sentiment circle+button+sequins cluster is fabulous! Gorgeous!! Cheering you on with tackling the papers; I know you'll ace them!ReplyDelete
Sometimes you can just look at a card and feel that everything about it is just right ... this is one of those moments, Kim! Good luck with your papers! Anita :)ReplyDelete
Mom, wife, student, crafter... you ROCK Kim!! Terrific card, love the gold accents! Good luck with your papers ;)ReplyDelete
Everything works so perfectly in the card. I'm glad you were able to take some time to craft.ReplyDelete
This is fabulous!! I love the colors you used. I especially like the touch of sparkle on the gold border and the orange starburst sentiment. Wonderful card!!ReplyDelete
