I also wanted to play along with this week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp is to use a product from their store. Not a big problem for me!! I decided to use one of the feather dies that I just got and a new stamp set (list below). I was browsing challenges and realized that the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches would be a perfect fit for the feather!
Here's my Simon Says Stamp list:
- SSS Pointed Feathers dies
- SSS Handwritten Greetings
- Clearly Beloved Sequins
- Hero Arts Raspberry Jam Shadow Ink
- Basic Grey Carte Postale
- the gray paper and twine are scraps
Totally agree about the light stone-grey - it really does make colours pop and it feel so classy. :D Love the striped paper you used for the feather too!
ReplyDeleteI started off with this sketch...and every attempt ended in the bin. Now I'm thinking...why did't I think of that!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Kim!
Beautiful card Kim! I just got the Pointed Feather dies and have played with them yet. I love how you used the feather. Check Papertrey Ink, they have a Soft Stone pattern paper pack that might be what you are looking for: https://www.papertreyink.com/paper/soft-stone-pattern-pack-36-sheets/

I love gray. I love how you've used it here. This is a gorgeous card. Normally, I don't like the feather trend thing, but you have taken it to a beautiful level. Absolutely love this. Bev
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Kim, simplicity at it's best. I agree about the light stone grey as well, are the PTI Soft Stone cardstock and dp's too light?

ReplyDeleteStunning card, Kim - sophisticated and elegant, in my view! The grey background + colourful feather = perfect match. Like Bev, I've been hesitant about embarking on the feather trend, but you have me re-thinking my decision with this gorgeous inspiration.
