In my new quest to use my new stuff before it gets put away (inspired by the wonderful
Darnell) - I got a big order from Paper Smooches and you might be seeing a lot of it. I'm looking at my stash in three levels. Stuff that was put away ages ago - it may not have been used, but I'm not going to worry about that yet. An overflowing box on the side of my desk of newer stamps that haven't been used. But...since that box is already overflowing, brand new stuff that finds its way into my stash has to be used immediately!! The latest thing to show in my mailbox is a lot of Paper Smooches stamps and dies!! So...get ready for a lot of Paper Smooches cards!!
I have a little extra bonus on this because the bird house die from My Favorite Things hadn't been used. But I'm not going to move it from my box yet because it does have a coordinating stamp set that needs to see ink first!
I used a sketch that I already played along with it - but I love it!! It's from dahlhouse designs.
I also wanted bright colors - and remembered that
Pals Paper Arts had the bright colors plus a nice neutral that I could use.
- Stamps: Paper Smooches Chubby Chums
- Paper: Stampin' Up Strawberry Slush and Smoky Slate
- Ink: Memento black, Copics, Versamark
- Accessories: My Favorite Things Contempo Cage die, Lawn Fawn Pink Lemonade Trimmings, Simon Says Stamp Word Bubble dies, Ellen Hutson Daffodil sequins
Totally adorable!! Love it :)
ReplyDeleteaww this is too cute.. i love it
ReplyDeleteWay, way, way tooooo cute! I've been hesitating on ordering the dies for Chubby Chums, but after seeing what you've done with it...might be shopping (again...sigh) very, very soon!
ReplyDeleteToo adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is way too cute! I definitely need to pay you a visit and peek at that stash!
ReplyDeleteTotally love your little owl Kim. I have several of them in stash boxes that haven't seen ink either. I see you sprinkled some sequins around too. Kind of drawing a blank for my CC card this week. Your card is adorable! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteToo stinkin cute!! I applaud you for digging into the never used pile!!
ReplyDeleteCute, cute, cute! Love the little owl, adore the thread hanging the cage, and the overall look of the card. Thanks for joining us for this Pals Paper Arts challenge!
ReplyDeletethis is adorable; I just love what you've done with the owl and the birdcage!
ReplyDeleteSo super adorable Kim!! LOVE the colors and adorable stamps!! So fun!!
ReplyDeleteReally cute! Darnell, has been inspiring me too, It's one of the reasons I've been using up a lot of my NBUS on my cards...LOL!
ReplyDeleteKIM, i can't take the absolute cuteness of this card! OMG... I love how you turned the tag into the birdcage. Brilliant and stunning. Thank you so much for playing with wanna sketch dearie, you are absolutely amazing.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who laughed at your description of your schtuff, Kims? Only those of us with (ahem) a bit of an imbalance between what's new and what's used could understand about this schtuff here ... and then there's that box there ... and then, well, the newer stuff comes first, even though, really, it should be the schtuff over there ...
ReplyDeleteI had no idea when I started that blogging and making bloggy friends would lead to SO much enabling and lusting and purchasing!! The companies just love how we sell their products just by our card art and postings!
And then, in the end, we just say, ah, who cares? We're having fun! I have to have that die, too, and the matching stamp and ...
But that's not why you called. Your owl is hootragiously cute!! So clever to use the bird cage for the tag shape! Your cards are always impeccably clean and clever!!
Thanks for the shoutout - mwah! Okay, now I'm off to the garage to find a bigger box ...
I love this Kim! Perfect everything! And soooo adorable!
ReplyDeleteGreat colours, great take on the sketch ... And great determination, Kim! Hugs xxx
