Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Herb Garden

It's time for a new challenge at the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Herb Garden.

I am so not a gardener.  I don't like heat, dirt or bugs (or in my yard - big snakes).  Sadly, produce right out of the garden reminds me too much of gardening.  I'm the person who wants the clean, bright and mostly-fake produce from the grocery store.  Sad, huh??  But I make an exception to the entire phobia with herbs.  I love fresh herbs.  They seem cool and lush and beautifully green and dense - and obviously they smell heavenly.  (There's no problem so great that a sniff of lemon thyme doesn't make right!)

I didn't go with actual herbs for my card - I went with the lush green that herbs represent to me. (With a nod to herbs, the background is Sweet Basil and one of the Distress Inks is Bundled Sage!)

The sentiment comes from a Taylored Expressions set called "Plot Twist".  They are sized to work on bookmarks but I love them on cards.  This one called my name this week.  One of my coworkers left to sail around the world with her boyfriend!!  She's around 40 - no kids (which makes a difference). They had planned to do the trip when they retired but then they thought why not now when they are young and healthy.  Her future self is going to have amazing memories.   (My view on the future is fairly limited.  I saw this sentiment and decided to go for a long walk as soon as I finished this post. My future self needs me to exercise!!!)

Be sure to check out our guest designer for this week: Donna Idlet at Creative Lady.
