WPlus9 Mood Board

This morning was one of those reminders that I need every so often to stay true to my style.  I wanted to play along with the WPlus9 Mood Board.

I had so much out on my desk to make this work.  Layers of patterns, canvas textures, clips, ribbon, etc. but it was taking such a huge effort.  I spend a lot of time on my cards, but it's not necessarily work.  A recent commenter called me meticulous.  I wasn't initially sure that I liked that, but the more that I thought about it - it does describe my cards.  I take a lot of time on each card - even the simple ones - because the colors have to match and the ribbon has to be tied right and everything needs to be straight. So my first effort for this mood board was swept into the trash can - and I went much simpler...

I Thought of You
I stuck with the colors, a flower, a little country with the quilt, just a few patterns - and I am much happier!!
  • Stamps: WPlus9 Mother's Day Bouquet, Heartfelt Mix
  • Paper and Ink: Stampin' Up Midnight Muse, Real Red, Lucky Limeade
  • Accessories: WPlus9 Quilt die and heart die, Stampin' Up Limeade twine, misc pearl

  3. Hi Kim - your card, like ALL of your cards, is stunning! So much talent and creativity all in one place is a real treat for all of us, but especially for me, a new-comer to the card-making community. You're definitely a source of inspiration!
Thank you for your review of Feedly. I just switched my sites over - a totally painless transition, and better organized than what I had (just an 'alphabetical list') on Google Reader. I'm quite looking forward to your tutorial, once you have it completed, just to be sure I didn't miss anything! Now that I'm 'Feedly-ized,' I won't be a complete stress case when GR disappears. Now, to figure out the ipad version...wish I were more tech savvy....Have a great day - and thank you for all that you share on the card AND technology fronts!!

  7. This card ia meticulously beautiful--you've done it again! The balance is perfect, the pearl and twine are just enoufh embellishment, and the colors are cheerful against the ample amount of white. I also like the sentiment you chose. Can't wait to CASE this one!
