I showed you the last of my Valentines yesterday so there is nothing sweet or loving here!!
I did venture way, WAY out of my comfort zone and wanted to share this card. It's for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you do!!
- Stamps: Avery Elle To the Point
- Ink: Stampin' Up Pumpkin Pie, Marina Mist, Basic Gray, Papertrey Soft Stone (I actually have to credit the pumpkin, blue, gray combo to the good ladies at Merry Mondays who recently used it as a fun Christmas challenge. Obviously this isn't a Christmas card, but I definitely earmarked the color combo has a fun one!)
- Paper: Stampin' Up Pumpkin Pie, Marina Mist
- Accessories: Papertrey Ink Orange Zest button
I like it a lot - I agree that it's tricky to make a little collage of shapes that's pleasing to the eye, but you've made it look very easy! I love that touch of sand - great idea!
ReplyDeleteThis is just so pretty! Clean and simple with the right amount of little touches! It is difficult to achieve that balance and you did it beautifully!
ReplyDeleteThe CAS design is perfect with the bold colors!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous...you are so good at CAS cards!!! Lee-Ann :)
ReplyDeleteI like it. I think you did fabulous.
ReplyDeleteBe blessed, Beckie
I love this Kim!! So perfect and I love the colors!!
ReplyDeleteThe balance looks perfect to me, especially with your funky choice of colour!
ReplyDeleteUm, Kims, I'm the opposite of a math person, but I have to say that nothing on this card looks like you "just plopped on a variety of shapes." It all looks quite well thought out and brilliantly plopped and colored to me!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect take on the sketch! I love the colors and how balanced everything is. It's perfect!
ReplyDeleteI struggle to use orange but you've made it look so easy. This looks a difficult sketch but you've made it look simple with a very pleasing result. x
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Kim, I love it. The orange button really sets it off. :)
