Sequin Shaker Blog Hop: Panda Celebration

I have avoided shakers.  They feel a little too much like crafting, which I generally define as 3D type art...which any time that I try I end up with blogs of glue and crooked elements and utter frustration.  But my charming friend, Stacey Schafer, talked me into it - and even texted me words of encouragement as I was driving to Hobby Lobby for foam tape.  She also pointed out the Sequin Shaker Tutorial video by Paulina, the Pretty Pink Posh lady (among her many talents).  So I am giving it a try!

The event is a Sequin Shaker Blog Hop.


I went for a smaller shaker but have already realized the flaw with small and curved - foam tape is straight and wide - so it was a bit of a pain to seal up this shaker.  But I have to admit...I liked it...and I'll do it again....maybe even when I finish this post!

Panda Celebration

The blog hop is open until Monday around midnight PST.  After dragging my feet, I have seen the light and would truly recommend that you give it a try and enter!  Even if you don't, be sure to check out the gallery.

    Love the shaker card. So cute. You might already know that you can get round and square foam tape from "The Sticky Stuff" store. I love this.

    Well, I'm glad you stuck with it and shared your card with all of us...it is absolutely adorable! I love that you used a balloon die to create the shaker element. Job well done! I'll keep an eye on the gallery to see if you submit another one.

    ADORABLE!! I love how the little panda is floating amongst the clouds courtesy of the oversized balloon...The white twine balloon string adds such a nice finishing touch also!

    I totally understand the small and round. I did it for my first shaker, posted today for the hop, and it made we not want to do another one. I'm glad you love them because this one is so darn cute.

    This is so gorgeous! Love the colours you used and the design is fantastic. I didn't even think about curving foam tape until you mentioned it, what a nightmare but totally worth it. Hope you do make another!!
