Unfortunately, a number of months ago, my church card ministry needs came first - I needed to making sympathy cards and Designed2Delight was putting out darling spring images. I couldn't make them work together. So I got out of the weekly D2D habit.
Then I saw this week's image and had to play along (but the deal ends tonight so you probably won't have time to play along this week!)
I used colors from The Color Dare (Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz and Real Red) and the sketch from Sketch Frenzy Friday (although I switched the sentiment and the brads/gems).
- Stamps: Designed2Delight Fresh Cut
- Ink: copics
- Paper: Stampin' Up Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black
- Accessories: Sizzix embossing folder, Stampin' Up Crystal Accents, misc ribbon and gems, Martha Stewart glitter glue on flower centers
Love your colors! Beautiful card and love the embossing! Thanks for playing at Designed 2 Delight!
ReplyDeleteI love your vase of flowers, Kim. I've never used crystal accents (or similar products) on cards, but it looks fabulous on your flowers and vase. I'm going to have to try this.
ReplyDeleteI've also never used digi images. Thanks for the heads up about this challenge. I'll have to check it out! Ann
This is lovely! I love that you switched the sentiment and the brads! It really looks good like that! Thanks for joining us this week at Sketch Frenzy Friday!
ReplyDeleteGreat card Kim!! Perfect use of the sketch and combination of elements! Thanks for playing along at Sketch Frenzy Friday!!
ReplyDeleteThose little flowers are so cute and I love the shine you added to them!
ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous digi Kim, I can see why you "needed" to buy it. The vase & hearts look fab glazed & the black elements & embossed background set the image off perfectly. Great card. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! This is delightful! Love the pop of red, and the embossed background!
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along with the Color Dare!
Now ... that is a tricky colour combo! And ... yet ... you make it look so simple! Hugs xxaxx
