TE Sneak Peek Day 3: Beavers and Penguins

It's day 3 of sneak peeks for the June release from Taylored Expressions! Today I have a card that includes a charming beaver (so definitely not nautical or tropical!) and a card that features a penguin tumbling through a big wave using a new product that creates slider cards!  All of the new products that you see today will be available tomorrow. Be sure to check out each of the creative team members' blogs for all of the sneak peeks - starting with the Taylored Expressions blog.

And now for a quick sidetrack from the tropical/nautical themes - we have the Busy Beaver Stamp & Die Combo!

Taylored Expressions Busy Beaver

This new little guy is in honor of our Canadian friends.  Canada Day is July 1st. Did you know Canada is 150 years old?!  One of the sentiments in the sets is even "Heard it's your birthday, eh?"

The trees in the back are from the previously released die set Build a Scene - Lakeside.  I love their quirky look behind this guy.  I gave him a Little Bits - Party Hat cut in an outdoorsy plaid so he could celebrate a birthday! Check out this cute face!

Here's the supply list for this card and be sure to keep reading for a chance at prizes and for another sneak peek!

Now for something to make your crafting life SO much fun!!  Track dies to make slider cards!

Taylored Expressions On the Right Track

I wish I had better video capabilities because this little guy goes tumbling down that wave - and you can't help but smile!

Taylored Expressions On the Right Track

The new On the Right Track series of dies allows you to cut the channel on which sliders move!! Then I followed the penny method - one above, one below, dimensional adhesive in the middle - glued my little guy on top - and he starts sliding!!  There's a Basic set of tracks - and I've used the set that coordinates with our mountain dies and rolling hill dies.  SO many options - definitely be sure to check out the rest of the creative team today to get a good look at the potential in these dies - they will definitely make our lives easier!

Tomorrow I go back to a nautical/beach theme but with widely different styles on my two cards.  I go from silly crustaceans to keeping God at the helm!  Be sure to head over to the TE Blog for links to the rest of the creative team and to enter the question of the day contest.

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Succulent

Copic charts for the 2017 Stampin' Up In Colors are now linked on my sidebar!

Just a reminder that there is still time to play along with the challenge at the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Succulent.

blog.freepeople.com

I only have one stamp set of succulents but luckily, I absolutely love it.  It's just full of cute little images - and the sentiments are in a fabulous font!

CC Succulents

I was very inspired by the blue/green color with the pink in the inspiration photo.  I wanted a terracotta pot - so I did tuck in some orange - but I love the contrast.  I went with Get Well Wishes because it seems that we're passing something around my office, so I figured I'd be prepared!!

Hope to see you playing along!

Freshly Made Sketches: Oh Happy Day

Copic charts for the new Stampin' Up In Colors are on my sidebar!

It's time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches! Today we have a sketch by Jen Brum.

My get-up-and-go definitely got-up-and-went this past weekend when I needed to be making this card.  I wasn't motivated to do anything.  Not chores, not work, not fun, not cards - and it so NOT me to just want to sit and stare at bad TV.  I would have paid a lot to make my family disappear for a few days so the bad TV could have been Hallmark Channel instead of baseball and hockey.   I'm not sick. I'm not extra-stressed. Who knows?  Let's just hope that I find some motivation when I head to work!

Given how much effort it took to drag myself to my craft table, I don't hate my card!!  On any other weekend, there are a few things I would have re-done - but for this week, I'm content!!

FMS Oh Happy Day

Thankfully it's a great sketch that immediately led me to a flower die, a large sentiment and a bold pattern!!  Have fun with it!!
