Today is a big day in my house - bigger than that it's Wednesday and time for a new sketch!! My oldest son leaves for college today. I'm feeling a little guilty because I'm not sad. I've been asked about 1000 times if I'm OK and I'm totally OK. I think it might be because my son took a year off so I am extra tired of having him underfoot!! I also know that it's time for his sake. I will be at work before he leaves and I wanted to make sure he knew I was thinking of him - so I made a card!
College is a big step.....but so exciting! Perfect card for the occasion! Love the bright red accents on your card.....and that sweet starry backdrop!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim,
ReplyDeleteIt really IS a special day at your house and this card is a perfect send off for your son. I love that sentiment (is it embossed?) and the pops of red. I love seeing your fabulous cards, my heart is always warmed at the ways you bless others with them!
What an exciting day! And this card is just perfect to share with your son. Love it!
ReplyDeleteYou have such a knack for making incredible poigniant cards for your kids... this one is awesome. I loved reading your post. This is a new adventure for all, and what a fantastic way to send him off. Absolutely love it!
ReplyDeleteNew adventures await your son, and his 'gap year' has prepared him well. He'll be fine; he's gained some experience in learning how to face and overcome challenges. When he needs support, he knows he'll find it in you. Your card: a perfect send off. The world is waiting to embrace him...Starbucks card? NICE!!
