Awhile back, I made a gift bag and card with a moose. Then later, I made a fox gift bag. It dawned me at that point that if I just made a fox card - I would have a fun gift set for my older son and a fun gift set for my younger son. I quickly realized I wanted to use this sketch because it had to be just a little quirky for a 15-year old. Even at 15 sometimes he's still quite young (and sweet!), so I decided to add a cute snowman.

Freshly Made Sketches: Warm My Heart
It's time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches! Today we have a sketch by Rita.
Now I just have to get some Christmas shopping done so I have something to put in their little gift bags! It's going to be an interesting year for gift giving. My older son is 19 and is taking a gap year before college. Living on his own, what he really needs are things like gas gift cards or Starbucks cards or new tennis shoes or a month's free rent! He's not used to "practical" gifts but I'm stumped. My youngest wants a desk. A desk? Seriously? What 15-year old wants a desk? (And how will it fit in this gift bag?!)
If you are closer to being done with your Christmas shopping than I am - I hope you find time to play along with Freshly Made Sketches.
SUPPLY LIST
Super cute design!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! Warms my heart for sure! And yep the older they get the harder to buy for! I miss the tearing into the toys days! This year I have bought a microwave, pot and pans and boots so far.......boring!
ReplyDeleteThis is darling Kim, love the little fox!
ReplyDeleteYour snowman and fox combination for your son: marvelously sweet...er, I mean, masculine! He'll love it! Yes, it will be a challenge to fit a desk into that little bag...but a picture of the desk would work, and you can surprise him with the real one elsewhere. Buying for teen boys sounds like a challenge; my nephew's 3, so he's easy...cars, cars and cars!

So cute! I adore the fox! I think he's my favorite die-cut ever!
ReplyDeleteThis is really cute, Kim! I love how you've made a tag work with this sketch. I had to laugh when I read your post because my 16 year-old son only wants two things for Christmas, and one of them is a desk.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! The snowman and the fox work so well together! My teenage boys only want cash for Christmas - easy on the shopping front, but a bit boring!
ReplyDeleteLove this card!! Such fun and I know he will like it. A desk??? What a great kid!! :-)
ReplyDeleteLove this card Kim! That tag is just too cute! I totally love the fox and the snowman! How adorable! This card will be perfect with the gift bag!! Have fun finding something to put that desk in!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch an adorable card. I love the background paper and the smiling snowman and his foxy friend are so cute! I love how your younger son wants a desk for Christmas. I've always been a fan of practical gifts too!
