It's day 3 of the spring release from
Taylored Expressions!! I titled my post "cloudy and rainy" because I have some fabulous cloud and rain products to show you. But don't think that it's all dark and dreary - because it's actually all about bright umbrellas and cute boots!
Be
sure to check all of the other designers starting on the
Taylored Expressions blog because there is just too much for one designer to show off in just a few days.
All the products that I have used are linked at the bottom, but remember that new products aren't live until
Thursday, April 9th, 7 a.m. PST.
Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog each Sneak Peek Day this week for details on how you can enter to win.
One of the new products being release is the
Cloud Stacklet set of dies. It's a handy set because it has five different sizes of clouds. My first card uses the smallest two clouds along with the new
Little Bits Umbrella die. Also check out the new
Raindrops Embossing Folder.
I love this cheerful scene and the meaning behind the sentiment "pray hope trust" from the older set Faith in Bloom.
The blue cardstock is Salt Water Taffy and the umbrella handle uses the silver paper from the Metallic Neutrals Cardstock Pack. I also used paper from the new Double the Joy Paper Pack.
My next card uses a slightly bigger cloud from Cloud Stacklets. (FYI: the biggest cloud in the set covers the entire card front!). I've also used a cute boot and sentiment from the new stamp set Bloomin' Boots and the Bloomin' Boots Coordinating Dies.
Bloomin' Boots does come with a cute little flower image, but I actually paper-pieced the boot using For Peep's Sake Paper Pack. This paper was released last month, but I needed its cheerful flowers and soft rain papers for this card. I used Little Bits - Weather Confetti to make the shaker along with a few sequins from TE Sequins - Build a Scene, a previously released set of sequins full of blues and whites.
As I was putting things away from the previous card, the little raindrop cloud that I had cut out for the shaker was too cute to throw away - so here's an extra card! I loved doing this because it let me who you a different style boot and one of the flower bouquets that you can use in the boot. I also used the very biggest cloud in the Cloud Stacklet to do a cloud border.
I hope you enjoyed this cloudy and rainy day!! Be sure to check out other stamps and dies in this release by checking out all of the other designers' blogs starting at the TE blog. And come back tomorrow for the big release!

ReplyDeleteThat umbrella is too cute, really! Love the embossed rainbackground, it's gorgeous and I haven't seen anything quite like it yet!
ReplyDeleteYour shakercard is great and will cheer up the recipient for sure! The confetti you used, a great find! And I soooo much love the paperpieced boot!
The third card is so weet, and yes I also like houndstooth. (that's what the pattern is called I believe?)
Love the flowers coming out of the top of the boot, ha, ha, so cheerful and bright.
