So my wonderful friend said "come on over for a barbecue". Do people really entertain that spontaneously? It takes me a full week just to clean. Of course, I don't do a lot of cleaning any other time. I gave up years ago - small house, lots of hobbies and supplies, lots of sports and gear, lots of books, lots of pets - it's really not worth the effort to keep it much above the "safely inhabitable" level.
We're off in just a few hours to enjoy our barbecue and I definitely wanted to bring a thank you card!
- Stamps: Stampin' Up Perfectly Preserved, Friendly Phrases
- Paper: Stampin' Up Orchard Harvest, Cajun Craze, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
- Ink: Stampin' Up More Mustard, Lucky Limeade, Chocolate Chip
- Accessories: Stampin' Up buttons, Perfectly Preserved Dies, Apothecary Accents die, Lucky Limeade ribbon, misc gems colored with Copics
Cute card Kim! Hope your son feels better soon, I am sure it's hard for an active kid to not be able to run around. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
ReplyDeleteA lovely thank you card Kim. I might invite you over but you wouldn't get in the house - far too untidy! Lol! Good luck with entertaining your son! xx
ReplyDeleteYou're too funny.
ReplyDeleteYOU: "Do people really entertain that spontaneously?"
YOUR NEIGHBOR: "Do people really throw together incredible cards that sponstaneously?"
It works both ways, huh, and works out best for both of you! Have a wonderful time and all the best to Sonny for a quick recovery!!
Aren't you the lucky one to have a friend like that! I'll bet she's going to love this card as well as your company!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, LOVE this card...the color combo is fabulous! And, I'm on your side of the cleaning thing...never fails...just as I finish up vacuuming, dh decides to mow the lawn....he and the dogs then traipse in lawn clippings everywhere. I give up...only clean when I really have to, therefore, no spontaneous gatherings at our home!
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing to have a friend like that! I pray your son feels better~he sounds like my youngest. ;) Fantastic card~she will love it.
ReplyDeleteGreat card. The gingham DSP really brings to mind BBQs. And I so relate to your cleaning comment LOL. I dread when our doorbell goes unexpectedly.
ReplyDeleteAren't friends the greatest?! I hope you and your son had a fun time. I'm sure your hostess enjoyed the thoughtful and card you made for her :)

ReplyDeleteHope you had a great time at the BBQ Kim and I'm sure your friend will have appreciated your gorgeous card. I really do feel for your poor son; patience isn't easy for a lively 12 year old. Vicky
