BUT - - I saw these two challenges, I mentally saw the card, and here it is!!
There's nothing fancy or new and unique on this card but I adore the images in the Tim Holtz Funny Farm set - they are quirky and wonderful. I thought the stamp set would be perfect for cards to send off to my two college students when they (or I) are lonely or need encouragement. I just took my last child off to college last week so I'm definitely focused on cards for my kids right now in all of the quiet time around the house!
Thanks to CAS(E) this Sketch!
And to The Paper Players.

I am with you on the card making, Kim - they take me forever! So many options to mull over and try out. I adore this card - great use of the sketch and I love that Tim Holtz piggy. Every time I see you use this set I was it even more!
ReplyDeleteLove this card! It's playful yet still "grown-up" - perfect for older children as you mentioned. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThis is so...stinkin...cute!!! The image and sentiment are adorable, but the colors and papers you chose..well, I am glad you took your time, it was worth every minute! Thanks for playing with my Paper Players challenge this week! ♥
ReplyDeleteThis is darling!! I LOVE the little pig and your use of that charm. I am a slow card maker as well and 2 hours is about what it takes me too. It isn't even coloring that does it but the arranging of things on the card!!
ReplyDeleteKim you are not alone in taking your time - it often takes me hours to create the simplest of cards! That's part of the fun though, right? It is great when you have a vision that gets straight onto the paper though and looks just as you envisioned it. Your sweet piggy is adorable and I love the woodgrain and heart motif too. Thanks for sharing with us over at The Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteI am with you Kim! I don't plan I just mix and match until I get what I imagine and then the mess to clean up is unreal! LOL! Love your little piggy and the paper you selected. The wood grain is perfect! Love your little heart, too! So happy you joined us at The Paper Players this week! XX
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable card!
