TE Sneak Peek Day 3: Love and Music

It's day 3 of sneak peeks for the December release from Taylored Expressions!!  Today is love and music day.  Everything that you see today that you love will be available tomorrow - Thursday, December 8th at 7 a.m. PST.

There's a fabulous new stamp set called All You Need is Love - full of love song lyrics.  Remember this one?

Taylored Expressions

There are also a variety of musical dies and stamps to go along with this - you'll see more on my next card and on a card tomorrow.  But I've been looking for an excuse (as if I really need an excuse) to pick up the previously released Hearts a Flutter Cutting Plate and I thought a simple heart background to the sentiment would work well.

Taylored Expressions

This is what I used on this card - but be sure to keep reading for a chance at prizes and for another sneak peek.

SUPPLY LIST

I used a sparkly black embossing powder on the sentiment, a red striped enamel heart and black/white baker's twine.

Before I share a peek at another card with this set, I'm excited to tell you that Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog to answer Taylor's Question of the Day for a chance to win a prize from the latest release!

I pulled out one of the new music-related dies for this next card - the Little Bits - Treble/Bass - and a sentiment from the same love song stamp set as above.

Taylored Expressions

If you know written music, I'm sure you just fell in love with that heart.  Isn't it wonderful?!!  I love the treble clef and the base clef twined together - so perfect for "keep us together".

Taylored Expressions

I used the previously release sheet music embossing folder. There's a wonderful new background stamp this time - the Musical Background.  I had it out to use it, but I decided I wanted 100% of the focus on the fun heart.

And if you were wondering, no - I din't have 45s laying around for these photos.  But I do have a used book/record/game store just a few miles away and they had piles of 45s.  My son went with me and was most amused when we picked out 45s based on the color of their label!!  Just wait until you see the one that I used for tomorrow's musical love card!

Be sure to head over to the TE Blog for links to all of the other designers and to enter the question of the day contest.

SUPPLY LIST

I used black/white washi tape along the edges.

  1. I definitely remember both of those songs! And I'm picturing Richard Gere carrying Debra Winger out of the factory in his arms. Aaawwww... Love the hearts and colors for your FMS card and the way you've used the sketch.
