Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek 3: Gnomes & Mermaids

It's day 3 of sneak peeks for the December release from Taylored Expressions!!  This month is Petite-A-Palooza - a release full of Petite Stamp & Die Combos!  Today is a fun day...full of gnomes, mermaids and fun birthday wishes.

As a proud auntie of two sweet little nieces (after years of being surrounded by my own loud and smelly(!) teenage boys), I was thrilled with this new mermaid set - Mermaid Kisses Stamp & Die Combo. Their birthdays are this month and next month and I'm ready! (The oldest will get this beautiful mermaid and the youngest will get the monkey card from Monday.)  I used this set as an excuse to get the older die - Swirls Cutting Plate which makes an easy background.
 
Isn't she sweet? I went for lavenders and aquas with a golden crown, but she could easily go bright, or really any color combo.

To go along with today's unofficial theme of "sweetness", check out the new Under the Flower Stamp & Die Combo. The flower, the little girl and the sentiment are from the new set, but they coordinate with the previously released Under the Toadstool set and that's where the little gnome comes from. I also used the new Flower Power Embossing Folder. 

These guys are so fun to color. I want to do a similar card but in rich greens and other nature colors. Maybe add the toadstool from the first set instead of the flower - fun!!
