Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek 3: Halloween Parties

It's day 3 of sneak peeks for the August release from Taylored Expressions!!  Day 3 is back to a Halloween theme - but with a party flavor!!  You'll see that the Eventful line of border dies that are so perfect for party invites are back with a Halloween border.  Plus I've taken a new addition to the Tag-a-long series of stamps and make a "ghoul's" night out invite.  Be sure to check all of the other designers starting on the Taylored Expressions blog because there is just too much for one designer to show off in just a few days.

All the products that I have used are linked at the bottom, but remember that new products aren't live until Thursday, August 6th, 7 a.m. PST.

Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog each Sneak Peek Day this week for details on how you can enter to win.

My first card today uses the next in the Eventful border series, only I haven't used it as a border. I cut it in half and put the tree and part of the graveyard into the background for a dimensional look.

TE Don't Be Caught Dead

The sentiment is from the new Eventful - Halloween set which is full of fun party style sentiments. I love "Don't be caught dead...", and I'll show you another favorite on the next card.

I also added a couple of fun "sequins" from the Build a Scene - Halloween sequin pack - the bat and the ghost.  I plopped a circle for the moon behind the scene, and used some fun starry paper from the coordinating paper pack.

TE Eventful Halloween Close-Up

This was created as a one-sided invitation with the details on the back.  I used the previously released RSVP along with the new Little Bits - Witch for a little bit of decoration on the back.

I went for a very different look for my second card.  I said in my first post this week that my clean and layered style takes a backseat during Halloween because I love lots of rich papers, patterns and cluttered Halloween scenes.  I actually created a second card with the same philosophy (which I am going to show you as a third bonus card today), but I also wanted to do a Halloween card with a lot of white space - just to show that it's still fun and a little creepy!

TE Ghoul's Night Out

I don't know about you - but I'd go to this ghoul's night out!!  Here's a close-up of the "drinks".  They are from the new set Tag-a-long Halloween.  The set does have sentiments, but I had to pull "ghoul's night out" from Eventful-Halloween.

One more card.  I actually made this first, but I was starting to feel like all of my Halloween cards for this release looked the same (with a few more tomorrow).  It shows a few more of the stamps and sentiments from Tag-a-long Halloween.  And I love this chevron paper from Build a Scene Halloween.

TE Wee Bit Wicked

Besides the cat and the sentiments from Tag-a-long Halloween, I've also used Little Bits - Broom and two dies from Build a Tag 5.  The little coffin tag is so cute!!  The jagged edge is actually the bottom of the tag - I just laid it sideways and cut off the tag part.

Hasn't it been fun to plan ahead with all of these Halloween images?  I love when stamps are out early enough for us to make our wishlists, order and start working.  I hope to see you back tomorrow for a little more Halloween.  And don't forget to head over to the TE blog to leave a comment for a chance to win and to check out all of the other new release items and design team cards

  11. Halloween parties are always fun. My kid’s really love unique Halloween theme, and they wait for this party every year. This year they are making cards themselves to invite guests in party at space Miami events. They are really going to enjoy the party.
