Hold On Pain Ends - HOPE

I am so in LOVE with this sentiment from the February release at The Alley Way Stamps!!  It's so unique and it says something that is so very hard to say...

Hold On Pain Ends
And it is just one of ten fun sentiments in the new set All About You. Check out the link above to see some more sneak peeks with this same set!!
I used the sketch from Less Is More.

And the colors from Dynamic Duos.

NOTE: The darker brown really is Soft Suede.  That's one of the colors that I have the new Stampin' Up ink pads for.  I have been throwing away my old pads as I got the newer ones and I am really regretting that.  There are some blog conversations going around that the ink isn't as good with clear stamps.  I can't say I have had coverage problems with clear stamps, but even IRL this does not look like Soft Suede.  Anybody else having problems?

  • Stamps: The Alley Way Stamps All About You (to be released Feb. 1), Trees Company
  • Paper: Stampin' Up Crumb Cake
  • Ink: Stampin' Up Soft Suede and Crumb Cake
  • Accessories: Memory Box Woodland Branch die, MFT scallop die, CTMH Bitty Sparklers, Stampin' Up embossing folder, white crochet thread

  2. Cute, cute card, Kim. ;-) I don't know about the inks - I'm purchasing SU inks for the first time, so this is all I know. Your card is great, though! I love the cute little bird image with that lovely sentiment - I need to remember that more often. Thank you for joining us at Dynamic Duos. ;-)

  7. Love all the texture in this card. The sentiment is encouraging, especially the way you displayed it! As for SU inks, I've never gone for them because of the way the pads open and close. It seems I can never do either without getting ink all over my hands. Love their stamp sets, though.

  8. Kim, fabulous card. It took me a few minutes to figure it out, but what a sweet card to send out.

  9. That is a really cool sentiment and I love the way you used the negative die cut for the branch.
The new ink pads drive me mad! Too inky and everything comes out splotchy. I'm so frustrated because I love the new In Colours (except that dirty Starfruit! LOL!) but I hardly use them because they're such a pain to work with.

  10. I would definitely say that the new inks are darker, but I actually like that. And I haven't had any problems with coverage on clear stamps either. I had the too inky, splotchy thing that Jen Wills is talking about with the In Colour pads, but I just wiped off the excess with a paper towel and they've been fine ever since. I can't wait until I replace all the old felt pads because I feel like I have to really struggle with them to get good coverage on the stamp.

  17. You're right, Kim, this is such a caring sentiment ... and I love how you've emphasised it here. Love the sweet bird and branch too!

Thanks for the info on SU inks ... I have just six inkpads ... black, white and grey (none of them SU). I'm planning on moving to full colour service but haven't settled on any one make yet so the timing of your comments is perfect! Anita :)
