First, don't apologize. The cards look great the way they are. But if you really want to get rid of shadows, mask everything except the embossing so that you apply the shadows to only that part. Also, increasing contrast will bring out details and perhaps you wouldn't need the shadows on the embossing. If you need details, send me a tweet @kimgreenatlanta.
