I love this sketch because it allows for any die or image. I have a couple of sets that I got to make cards for my son during his first year in college. He embraces his inner nerd and is proudly part of the Natural Sciences community and dorm at his school!

Freshly Made Sketches: My Nerd
It's time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches! Today we have a sketch by Amy O'Neill.
My son is currently a physics major but he hasn't been as thrilled as he thought. I think it's because he had a high school teacher that was truly amazing - they did many real life experiments, many of which I'm not convinced were entirely safe - but they certainly sparked enthusiasm in teenage boys!! His first year of college physics has been a little more dry. If this particular major doesn't stick, I wanted to get this stamp with his physics book used while it still applied.
Thanks to Amy for her inspiration!! I hope to see you playing along!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Woven
It's time for a new challenge at the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Woven.
I took the word "woven" quite literally!
I also took a stab at the colors. Definitely not a mix of colors I would tend to use but it was fun trying to combine them. (Not that it was all that hard given I was just weaving strips of paper!!)
I picked the sentiment because I felt like the woven part looked like a comfy blanket. I'm a huge fan of cat naps - just 20 minutes, wrapped in a warm blanket - makes me happy. That's my "deep breath" that makes me ready to face the world again!
I hope to see you playing along!!

Freshly Made Sketches: A Mickey Birthday
It's time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches! Today we have a sketch by Narelle!

I did this sketch a little backwards in that I knew what die I was going to use and then fit it to the sketch. I needed a birthday card for my 12-year old niece. Their family LOVES Disneyland - in fact, they just got back from a 3-week vacation there. So this Mickey balloon was a requirement! And I think it worked out quite well with the sketch!

TE Release Day: Prayers and Faith
It's release day at Taylored Expressions!! Everything you have seen this week is now available! But first, I have two more peeks at this release.
The previously released Faith in Bloom stamp set now has coordinating dies!!
I have long loved and used this set. The flowers are charming and it has one of my favorite sentiments - just three words - "pray hope trust". I used the "be still" sentiment today - aren't the fonts fun??
I popped just one of the flowers - I so love being able to easily add dimension with dies!
I also used this stamp set and the dies on yesterday's card by putting a bloom in the new Little Bits - Pocket.
Here's the supply list for this card and be sure to keep reading for one more card!

On Tuesday, I used the new Blessings Script die along with the So Very Blessed stamp set. Today, I'm using the Prayers Script die. (There is also a coordinating stamp set called You're In My Prayers.)
I pulled out the previously released In Flight Cutting Plate with the coordinating butterflies from In Flight Overlays to plop on top. I thought these were a perfect symbol for prayers.
After I got done with the subtle gray and pink card which I thought would work for a sympathy card, I decided to go for a more cheerful prayer card that would work for encouragement.
It's the same butterflies, with a pop of colors from the Hello Happiness Paper Pack! I wanted a little something unique behind the open butterflies so I embossed a couple of scrap pieces of blue cardstock with Kaleidoscope embossing folder and adhered it behind them.
Don't forget to head over to the TE Blog for links to all of the designers and to find out if you won a prize if you've been answering the Question of the Day. Then head to the TE Store because it's now open!!
