It's a BIG day - the first challenge at Seize the Birthday!
I love their concept. First, we ALL need birthday cards. Second, they have fun mix of challenges. There are two sketches each month. The catch is that the first week of a sketch is girly and the second week of the same sketch is masculine.
I played along with a linky party that they had last month and was honored with a shout-out and a chance to be a guest designer for their first challenge!! The sponsor this week is Whimsy and Stars Studio so I also got to pick out a free digital stamp! It's girly week and I fell in love with Miss Dancin Queen. She's not an official birthday stamp but I plopped a cake in her hand and it works!!
- Stamps: digital stamp from Whimsy and Stars Studio
- Paper: Pink Paislee Indigo Bleu, Stampin' Up Summer Starfruit, Papertrey Ink Ocean Tides
- Ink: Copics
- Accessories: Stampin' Up mitten punch (cut up to make the cupcake), misc mini leaf punch, MME twine, Nestabilities label die
This image is perfect for a birthday card Kim! I love the papers you used too, so fun! The baker's twine is a lovely touch too! I need to use it more! So happy you could join us as a GD this week!

Wow! I am constantly amazed at how much you do ... And how you always see to find the coolest challenges. You must be such a talent ... All these challenge scouts that pick you up so quickly when they see your cards. Sigh ... When I grow up ... Perhaps someone will pick me! Hugs xxx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Kim! I love Summer Starfruit, so am rather taken with the colours you've used on this sweet card. :)
ReplyDeleteWha an adorable image and so clever to put that cake in her hand!
