Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Speckled

It's time for a new challenge at the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Speckled!

Please welcome our newest Guest Designer,
Susie MooreThe Dies Have It

I am not a "speckler"!  Probably for the same reason that I struggle with watercoloring.  There's not much control and I am a serious control freak!  But I wanted to add a little texture in the background of a card that's scheduled for this coming Tuesday.  Just before I did the card, I browsed some blogs and saw somebody squeeze a bit of Wink of Stella glitter to the tip and then tap the pen on their finger. I tried it on my card and had remarkable success.

For this challenge, I wanted to go with speckled eggs and I knew the Wink of Stella method would work for me.  I only had two pens - white and clear - so I ran to Hobby Lobby and Michaels.  Bless their hearts - of all the colors available, they each had the same six colors.  You think they'd coordinate better!!  I really wanted pink and yellow for soft Easter colors - but I ended up with violet, blue and gold.  I'd prefer a more spring-like card - but I don't hate it!!

Speckled Eggs

Here's a close-up of my speckles (and one little smear on the purple egg!)  I'm thinking some more Wink of Stellas are going to show up in my stash!!

I hope to see you play along!!  I love browsing the amazing cards in the Curtain Call gallery - I always find inspiration in your cards.
