Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: An Apple Congrats

It's time for a new challenge at the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Candy Apple.  Don't these look yummy!!

justataste.com
I was fairly shocked as I looked through my collection at a huge lack of apples.  The stamps that I do have are very dated (at some point, I really have to let some of my collection go!).  But lucky for me, I do have an apple die that I got only because it came with another die that I wanted.

CC Candy Apple

All the stamps and dies are by Reverse Confetti.  I love that scalloped note - it gave me a perfect place to put a black pattern like in the inspiration photo.  It's the Love Note die set but doesn't come with a center panel, however they do have a die set called Class Act.  It actually goes with the Class Act stamp set which I didn't get - I just wanted the rectangle!  The die set comes with rounded rectangle that you see above inside the scallops, a fun little tab and the apple that I needed for this challenge.  You can see all of this in the supply list.  (The rectangle also works behind their fun "pretty panel" die collection!)

I pulled out some Distress Inks and started sponging.  I love the depth you can get with distress inks - this picture just doesn't do justice to the richness.  I plopped a few little droplets on it to get some shine like in the inspiration photo.

This is a fun one!  I hope to you playing along with us.
