Merry Monday: Reindeer

The current challenge at Merry Monday Christmas Challenge is to use a reindeer on our card.

I have an absolutely lovely deer in my unused stash. He's not actually a reindeer - we have neighbors who own reindeer and literally take them out for walks - and they don't look quite like this!!  (I looked it up here and saw the difference in antlers, and also learned that reindeer are actually domesticated so my neighbor's pets aren't all that unusual!)

I wasn't quite sure what to do with him but when digging through my stash I saw these pine trees.

MM Reindeer

I love peaceful winter scenes - except maybe the scenes from my deck on Tuesday!  Who am I kidding?  I LOVE snow in any quantity! And it was much better after my boys shoveled a path to the hot tub!

SUPPLY LIST

The Winter Wishes stamp is an old free single from Verve Stamps. The paper is Carta Belle Bundled Up - it's older and hard to find, but I did a decent supply of 12x12 sheets at franticstamper.com.

  4. Your deer is perfect, Kim and you're right. There are actually very few actual reindeer paper craft items. Regardless, Santa is magical and I'm sure he can convince other deer to fly too. Love that snow! Thanks for sharing with us at Merry Monday!

  7. Welll at least your deer looks domesticated. Wearing a jolly and warm scarf. Nice detail btw.
Oh, we don't see snow often in the Netherlands unfortunately. But then again we don't have to shovel a path to get outdoors. :-)
    Lovely pics!

  10. Love your card Kim! Love your white yard too, we don't get snow here, just way to much sunshine and heat at this time of year. Thanks for sharing at Merry Monday.

  18. A gorgeous winter scene, Kim, both on your card - love those trees and the deer's polka-dot scarf is the perfect touch - and from your deck. On my way to work, a herd of elk were on one of the neighbourhood green belts, pawing (hoofing?) through snow to get to the grass...Winter is here!
